The Vietnam Children's Fund innovates its operating methods; researches and gradually shifts from "situational support" to "fundamental, long-term support"; at the same time builds models, jobs, and selects sustainable support objects, becoming a typical model of child support for domestic and international organizations, individuals, and businesses to implement together.
This was shared by Vice President Vo Thi Anh Xuan, Chairwoman of the Board of Trustees of the Vietnam Children's Fund, at the meeting of the Board of Trustees of the Fund on the afternoon of October 16, at the Presidential Palace. In that context, the Party, the State and the whole society must both worry about economic development, recover from difficulties caused by storms and floods, and ensure social security, especially prioritizing child care, with the spirit of leaving no one behind. Contributing to the common achievements in child care work are not only the active activities of the Vietnam Children's Fund but also the efforts to overcome difficulties and actively participate in social security activities of businesses and philanthropists. Thanking the members of the Sponsoring Council and benefactors for their time, effort, money and spirit in supporting the Fund to achieve positive results in the first 9 months of 2024, the Vice President also welcomed the Ministry of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs for closely directing and promptly removing difficulties and obstacles so that the Fund's operations meet the set requirements. The Vice President emphasized that the Vietnam Children's Support Fund needs to have specific advice for the leaders of the Ministry of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs on the organization and financial mechanism that is appropriate, fundamental and clear; and promote the application of information technology in propaganda work. In addition, the Ministry of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs has a clear understanding of the current situation of Vietnamese children, thereby determining specific directions and tasks to implement; predicting the difficulties that will affect the work of mobilizing support and children to set appropriate targets and measures.
In addition, the Ministry of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs, the Office of the President , and media agencies closely coordinate to organize activities with many innovations in form and content; thereby creating a meaningful spread of the Vietnam Children's Fund to the whole society, attracting more philanthropists and sponsors to participate in caring for children. At the meeting, Council members proposed to continue to innovate mobilization and resource mobilization activities; improve and strengthen training activities for staff of the Fund system; perfect the legal system to unify the organization of the Fund system, and at the same time guide the management and use of child protection funds at all levels... Some opinions suggested that it is necessary to continue to focus on activities to support children with congenital heart disease; support scholarships, bicycles; respond and provide timely support to children affected by storms and floods or other emergency situations... to properly demonstrate the Fund's role in caring for children.
