Vice President Vo Thi Anh Xuan attends the Patriotic Emulation Congress of Lam Dong province

The Vice President asked Lam Dong to continue to thoroughly grasp and implement President Ho Chi Minh's patriotic emulation ideology and strongly and comprehensively innovate emulation and reward work.

On the morning of September 29, at Dalat Opera House (Xuan Huong Ward, Da Lat), Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee held the 1st Patriotic Emulation Congress (2025-2030).

Attending the Congress were Vice President Vo Thi Anh Xuan, First Vice President of the Central Emulation and Reward Council, and more than 200 delegates who are local leaders, units, and typical advanced collectives and individuals.

According to the People's Committee of Lam Dong province, in the period of 2020-2025, the patriotic emulation movement in the area has constantly innovated in content, form, and organization methods; developed widely from the province to villages and residential groups, spreading to all levels, sectors and economic sectors.

Over the past 5 years, the whole province has had 887 collectives and individuals receiving State-level commendations; 29 individuals receiving commendations for their resistance achievements; nearly 33,000 collectives and individuals receiving commendations at the provincial level.

In addition, many thematic emulation movements achieved outstanding results such as: the movement "The whole country builds new rural areas" with 80 communes meeting standards (77.7%), 9 advanced new rural communes (8.7%) and 3 model new rural communes (2.9%); the movement "The whole country joins hands to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses by 2025" with 5,691 houses built and repaired; the peak emulation period "500 days and nights to complete 3,000 km of expressway" associated with key projects such as Gia Nghia (Dak Nong) - Chon Thanh (Binh Phuoc) expressway, Tan Phu - Bao Loc section, Bao Loc - Lien Khuong...

Speaking at the Congress, Vice President Vo Thi Anh Xuan highly agreed with the solutions proposed by the Congress, acknowledged and highly appreciated the results of emulation and reward work of Lam Dong province in the past 5 years; at the same time, she believed that the first Patriotic Emulation Congress was an important milestone, strongly demonstrating the development aspirations of Lam Dong province in the new period so that the locality could continue to develop rapidly and sustainably, together with the whole country, firmly entering the era of strong, prosperous and happy development.

The Vice President requested Lam Dong province to continue to thoroughly grasp and implement President Ho Chi Minh's patriotic emulation ideology and strongly and comprehensively innovate emulation and reward work in the direction of real people, real work, real results, and real spillover effects.

Especially in the current period, patriotic emulation among cadres, civil servants, public employees and workers needs to become a driving force for the team to overcome difficulties and challenges in work and life, continue to stick with the organization and contribute to the development of the locality in the new period.

On behalf of the Party and State leaders, Vice President Vo Thi Anh Xuan awarded the Labor Medal to 8 collectives and individuals; the title of National Emulation Fighter, and the Emulation Flag of the Prime Minister to 10 collectives and individuals in Lam Dong province with outstanding achievements in the emulation movement, period 2020-2025.

On this occasion, Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee also commended 15 typical collectives and individuals with outstanding achievements in recent times.

At the Congress, Chairman of Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee Ho Van Muoi launched the emulation movement for the 2025-2030 period with the theme "Emulating innovation, creativity, promoting potential, joining hands, building Lam Dong province to develop rapidly and sustainably."

The movement includes 9 key contents, demonstrating the determination in the next 5 years to build and develop comprehensively so that by 2030, Lam Dong will become a well-off province, entering a new era with the whole country, and growing strongly with the nation./.
