Vice Chairman of the National Assembly: "Supervision is not for prying"

Mr. Tran Thanh Man requested key leaders and heads of agencies and units of Hau Giang province to be determined, resolute, creative, innovative, and make more efforts to develop Hau Giang quickly and sustainably, specifically focusing on implementing 6 tasks.

Firstly, continue to effectively implement the Resolution of the 13th National Party Congress, the Resolution of the 14th Provincial Party Congress, and Resolution No. 13 of the Politburo "On the direction of socio-economic development and ensuring national defense and security in the Mekong Delta region to 2030, with a vision to 2045".

In particular, the Vice Chairman of the National Assembly noted taking good care of the lives of the people, policy families, workers, and people in difficult circumstances; carefully preparing conditions to serve the people to welcome the New Year 2024 and the Lunar New Year of Giap Thin.

Second, further strengthen the Party building work, improve the quality of the work of building the organizational apparatus and cadres, improve the leadership capacity and fighting strength of Party committees and organizations at all levels to be effective and efficient. "Pay attention to the work of preventing and combating corruption, negativity and signs of degradation in ideology, politics, ethics and lifestyle of cadres and Party members," according to the Vice Chairman of the National Assembly.

Third, continue to promote the advantages of a province with an important geo-economic position, a land favored by nature, the rice center of the Mekong Delta, a land with a rich cultural and historical tradition, very suitable for eco-tourism, craft villages, and festivals.

Fourth, focus on exploiting, mobilizing and effectively using all resources to invest in building socio-economic infrastructure, speed up disbursement of public investment capital, and prioritize allocation to key, dynamic, strategic and long-term projects.

Fifth, promote and develop high-quality human resource training to meet labor market needs and international integration; effectively implement policies for people with meritorious services to the country and ensure social security...

Sixth, for the People's Councils at all levels of Hau Giang province, it is necessary to accompany and coordinate with the People's Committee, have the courage, political views, and appropriate methods to effectively implement the issued resolutions.

In addition, the Vice Chairman of the National Assembly reminded People's Councils at all levels to carefully prepare for meetings, effectively and substantially carry out activities of meeting voters, receiving citizens, and resolving complaints and denunciations of citizens.

Mr. Man emphasized that the People's Council's supervision activities help the People's Committee and departments, branches and localities to perform well their tasks in preventing corruption, negativity and waste. "Supervision is not for the purpose of prying, wherever the People's Council and People's Committee have unity and consensus, that place will implement the Party's resolutions well," according to Mr. Man.
