(DN) - On July 18, Provincial Party Committee member and Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Ho Van Ha led a working delegation of the Provincial People's Committee to inspect the site clearance work of the North-South Expressway Construction Investment Project, Western section, Gia Nghia - Chon Thanh.

Accordingly, the working group inspected the area planned for resettlement to serve resettlement arrangements for households affected by the project and some areas along the project's route sections.

The North-South Expressway Construction Investment Project in the West, Gia Nghia - Chon Thanh section, has a route length of about 124km, of which the section passing through Dong Nai province is more than 101km long. The investment in this expressway will contribute to forming a vertical axis connecting the Central Highlands with economic and political centers, economic zones, industrial zones, and important seaports. From there, it will create new space and development momentum, exploiting land use potential, developing tourism, processing industry, and mineral exploitation industry.

The North-South Expressway Construction Investment Project in the West, Gia Nghia - Chon Thanh section, is divided into 5 component projects, including: Component Project 1, construction of the Gia Nghia - Chon Thanh Expressway, nearly 129km long (including the section connecting with Ho Chi Minh Road, Chon Thanh - Duc Hoa section) under the public-private partnership (PPP) method. The project is implemented by the People's Committee of Binh Phuoc Province (formerly), now Dong Nai Province.

Component 2 Project, construction of a service road (more than 35km), an overpass across the highway in Dak Nong province (old), now Lam Dong province under the form of public investment. The People's Committee of Dak Nong province (old), now Lam Dong province is the implementing authority.

Component 3 Project, construction of a 98km service road and an overpass across the highway in the territory of Binh Phuoc province (old), now Dong Nai province, under the form of public investment. The People's Committee of Binh Phuoc province (old), now Dong Nai province, is the implementing authority.

Component 4 Project, compensation, support, resettlement in Dak Nong province (old), now Lam Dong province in the form of public investment. The People's Committee of Dak Nong province (old), now Lam Dong province is the implementing authority.

Component 5 Project, compensation, support, resettlement in Binh Phuoc province (old), now Dong Nai province in the form of public investment. The People's Committee of Binh Phuoc province (old), now Dong Nai province is the implementing authority.

According to the Provincial Land Fund Development Center, the Land Fund Development Center branches in Dong Xoai, Dong Phu, Bu Dang, and Chon Thanh are implementing site clearance work to serve the project.
