Permanent Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Hoa Binh attends the Party Congress of Don Duong commune - Lam Dong

On the morning of July 15, Permanent Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Hoa Binh attended the first Congress of the Don Duong Commune Party Committee (Lam Dong province) for the 2025-2030 term.

Don Duong Commune Party Committee was established on the basis of merging 3 Party Committees (Thanh My town, Tu Tra commune and Da Ron commune), with 64 Party cells and grassroots Party Committees, with a total of 1,172 Party members.

During the 2020-2025 term, Don Duong commune has completed most of the socio -economic, national defense, security and Party building targets. In particular, the average growth rate reached 8.8%, the average annual state budget revenue increased by 7%; the forest coverage rate reached 31.11%, of which the forest area was 3,976.54 ha, the natural area was 12,779.9 ha.

The area for planting various crops is 8,437 hectares (of which the area for high-tech vegetables and flowers is 3,002 hectares). The total herd of dairy cows is 18,976 (of which 8,024 are owned by enterprises and 10,922 are owned by family households).

The quality of education is stable and improving, 100% of school-age children go to school, the rate of 15-18 year olds graduating from junior high school is 96.6%. 16/16 schools meet national standards, reaching 100%.

During the term, Don Duong commune admitted 75 new party members, achieving the Resolution's target, contributing to rejuvenating and improving the quality of the team.

Speaking at the congress, Permanent Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Hoa Binh praised and congratulated the achievements of the Party Committee, government and people of Don Duong commune in the past term. He highly appreciated the preparation work of Don Duong commune for the congress, the process of preparing documents, becoming a model for communes and wards in the province to learn from.

Regarding the tasks in the coming time, Permanent Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Hoa Binh emphasized that officials must determine the mindset of serving the people, considering the people as the center, subject and goal of all activities. Work based on the spirit of "being close to the people, understanding the people, caring for the people, learning from the people, being responsible to the people". Taking the assessment of people's satisfaction as a measure of the level of completion of their tasks.

At the same time, we must have a reform and innovation mindset, be ready to innovate, dare to think, dare to do, dare to take responsibility for the common good, proactively initiate administrative reforms, reduce paperwork, and increase service efficiency.

Permanent Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Hoa Binh suggested that immediately after the Congress, the Party Executive Committee of Don Duong commune must urgently develop and promulgate working regulations, work programs, inspection and supervision programs for the entire term and assign tasks to comrades in the executive committee, standing committee, and standing committee of the new term Party Committee, an action program to implement the Congress Resolution and organize learning and dissemination to quickly put the resolution into life, while focusing on leading and directing the organization to effectively implement political tasks.
