Quang Tri invites investment in Hung Bac wind power project worth 1,100 billion VND

On September 8, the Quang Tri Department of Finance announced that the Provincial People's Committee has just announced an invitation to invest in the Hung Bac Wind Power Plant project with a total investment capital of 1,100 billion VND.

Accordingly, the project will be implemented in Tan Lap and Khe Sanh communes, Quang Tri province with a capacity of 30 MW. The project implementation period is expected to last from 2025 to 2027.

The main objective of the project is to produce electricity from wind energy, contributing to supplementing the local renewable energy supply.

According to the approved planning criteria, the land area for limited-term use of the project is expected to be about 10.5 ha or less than 0.35 ha/MW. This scope includes the area of ​​wind turbine foundations, protection corridors, internal traffic systems, management and operation buildings and auxiliary items such as flower gardens and trees.

The area of ​​land temporarily used during the construction of the plant is expected to be about 9 hectares or guaranteed to be less than 0.3 hectares/MW. This area includes the equipment yard and road expansion. After the plant is put into operation, the investor is responsible for returning this area.

Previously, the Hung Bac Wind Power Plant project was approved for investment by the Quang Tri Provincial People's Committee on August 26. The project will select investors through bidding.

The project is proposed by the joint venture of Hung Bac Energy Investment Joint Stock Company - Hoang Hai Quang Tri Energy Investment Company Limited as interested investors. The first proposal was submitted on March 3, 2025, the second on May 8, 2025.

Regarding progress, the project is expected to start construction in the third quarter of 2026 and be completed and put into operation in the fourth quarter of 2027.
