New regulations on driver training for classes B1, B2, C from June 1, 2024

From June 1, 2024, driver training for classes B1, B2, and C will be conducted according to new regulations.

The Minister of Transport has just issued Circular No. 05/2024/TT-BGTVT amending and supplementing a number of articles of Circulars related to the field of road transport, road transport support services, vehicles and drivers.

In which, the Ministry of Transport amends and supplements Article 13 of Circular No. 12/2017/TT-BGTVT (amended and supplemented in Clause 7, Article 1 of Circular No. 04/2022/TT-BGTVT) as follows:

Driving training for classes B1, B2, C

Regarding the examination and issuance of primary vocational certificates and training certificates, the Circular clearly states:

Test at the end of the theoretical subject according to the theoretical test question set (the content of the question set includes the subjects: Road traffic law; structure and common repair; transportation operations; ethics, traffic culture, prevention of harmful effects of alcohol and fire prevention, rescue and first aid when participating in traffic) and simulated traffic situations.

Test at the end of the practical driving course with sequential tests, reverse and road driving.

Consider granting primary vocational certificates or training certificates to learners who meet the requirements as prescribed above.

A B1, B2 driving practice car has no more than 5 students.

The driving training facility shall base on the contents including: the program volume and training time allocation as prescribed above, review time, final exam and holidays; to build the total training course time in the driving training program to ensure achieving the goals: B1 class is a regular training program and for B2 class, C class is an elementary level.

Number of students specified on a driving practice car: B1, B2 class no more than 05 students and C class no more than 08 students.

Circular 05/2024/TT-BGTVT takes effect from June 1, 2024.
