Surprisingly, the number of athletes and clubs registered to participate in this year's tournament is almost double that of the 2023 tournament. The increase in the number of participating clubs means an increase in the number of matches, making the organization more difficult, but the unit has tried to perform well in all stages and departments to make the tournament successful.

Not only has the tournament scale been expanded, the professional quality of the matches has also been improved. Sitting in the stands watching the final match of the men's category, age group 46 - 55 between Ton That Thuyet Club and Bac Lenh Club, Mr. Luong Van Phuong in Binh Minh ward ( Lao Cai city) stood up and cheered many times. Mr. Phuong said: "I love volleyball but my experience and technique are limited so I am not in the group of participants in this tournament. However, I always follow and cheer for the teams, especially from the semi-finals to the finals, not missing any match. Although it is a grassroots tournament, the athletes when entering the field all compete with all their might, giving the fans beautiful scoring moves."

According to the reporter, in recent years, the movement of training and competing in physical education and sports in general, and volleyball in particular, in the province has developed strongly. Most of the villages, hamlets, residential groups and residential areas in the province have sports activities, including volleyball.

Mr. Do Khac Trung, a member of Ton That Thuyet Club (won first prize in the men's category for the age group of 46 - 55) shared: Before, I played leather volleyball but recently switched to playing volleyball. Volleyball is easy to play, cost-effective and especially suitable for all ages, so the number of participants is very large. In our club alone, there are 40 members, both male and female, who regularly practice and participate in volleyball tournaments organized in the province. Therefore, when participating in the tournament, we compete very smoothly, in harmony and in harmony, defeating our opponents one by one to become champions.

Watching the final match of the 40-45 age group women's category between the team of Apatit Vietnam Co., Ltd. and Huong Duong Club, we can see the extremely professional spirit and attitude of the athletes. With an even lineup and superior strength, the female athletes from Apatit Vietnam Co., Ltd. defeated their opponents with a score of 2-0, convincingly winning the first prize.

Athlete Ha Thi Kieu Ngoc said: This is the third consecutive year we have won first prize in the women's category of the 40-45 age group, the Provincial Senior Volleyball Championship. To achieve this result, we spend 1-2 hours practicing every day, thereby creating harmony and cohesion in the playing style and having good physical strength, technique and tactics.
