After suspension, PhD was banned from contacting resigned students

(Dan Tri) - Dr. Nguyen Tra Giang - who received a decision to suspend her work and not be allowed to contact students - has officially stopped cooperating at Ho Chi Minh City University of Management and Technology (UMT).

Since February 10, Dr. Nguyen Tra Giang, Director of the Institute of Sports Science and Management, Ho Chi Minh City University of Management and Technology, has resigned from this university.

According to the school representative, the school and Dr. Nguyen Tra Giang officially stopped cooperating from February 10. Ms. Giang no longer works or holds the position of lecturer or Director of the school's Institute of Sports Science and Management.

Previously, Ho Chi Minh City University of Management and Technology decided to temporarily suspend Dr. Nguyen Tra Giang from work and position from January 7 to January 21.

The reason for the suspension is because the school needs to verify and clarify related issues after receiving many accusations from individuals about Dr. Nguyen Tra Giang and this information is affecting the school's reputation.

The temporary suspension decision clearly states that during the above period, Dr. Nguyen Tra Giang is temporarily suspended from work at school and is not allowed to contact students or parents.

Dr. Nguyen Tra Giang was "accused" by his former colleague at the Ho Chi Minh City University of Management and Technology, Oliver Napila Gomez, a Filipino, of being the author of the book A Unified System Fitness Design (USFD) published by Routledge Publishing House, UK.

It is known that this is the first book by a Vietnamese author in the field of Sports Science published by Routledge.

After the launch of the book USFD in Vietnam on November 24, Mr. Oliver Napila Gomez posted on Facebook accusing Ms. Nguyen Tra Giang of violating intellectual property rights when she was the first author of the book USFD.

This person claims to be the author of the book USFD published by Routledge, and Ms. Giang is a co-author.
