According to the Law on Occupational Safety and Hygiene (2015), enterprises must organize periodic health examinations for employees at least once a year. For those who do heavy, toxic, dangerous work, or are disabled, elderly, or minor workers, they must be examined at least once every 6 months.

Ha Tinh Center for Disease Control conducts periodic health check-ups and occupational disease check-ups for workers at Formosa Ha Tinh Steel Corporation.

Joining hands to support businesses, the Ha Tinh Provincial Center for Disease Control and functional medical facilities in the province have coordinated to organize periodic health check-ups according to the schedule of businesses. In 2022, nearly 30,000 workers at 197 agencies, units and businesses were examined and treated. However, it must be said that the work of protecting workers' health and preventing occupational diseases has only been carried out systematically and periodically in large-scale enterprises, while there are still many enterprises, especially some small and medium-sized enterprises, that have not really paid due attention to this important issue.

According to Mr. Nguyen Chi Thanh - Director of the Ha Tinh Center for Disease Control, occupational diseases erode workers' health, reduce efficiency and productivity, and increase the risk of work-related accidents. However, occupational diseases can be completely prevented if there is active participation from management agencies, businesses, and workers themselves.
