Tam Ky held a ceremony to posthumously award the title of Vietnamese Heroic Mother.

At the ceremony, authorized by the President , the leaders of Tam Ky City announced the decision and awarded the State honorary title "Heroic Vietnamese Mother" to the relatives of mother Trinh Thi Gao (born in 1911, hometown Tam Phu commune, Tam Ky city) - whose two children are martyrs and mother Nguyen Thi Lu (born in 1921, hometown Tam Tra commune, Nui Thanh district) - whose one child is a martyr.

Up to now, Tam Ky City has 894 mothers who have been awarded or posthumously awarded the State honorary title "Heroic Vietnamese Mother"; of which 2 mothers are still alive and are being cared for by units for life.
