New mindset for the new school year

In Phan Dinh Phung ward, there are currently 52 educational establishments from kindergarten to junior high school, including 27 public schools, 12 non-public schools and 13 independent preschool establishments. The total number of students and preschool children is 26,715, distributed in 805 classrooms, with a team of 1,412 teachers. The large-scale educational network also puts a lot of pressure on organization and management, especially when the number of new students increased in the first school year after the province's merger.

In the new school year, Trung Vuong Secondary School has 824 students, divided into 19 classes.

Since the beginning of June, Trung Vuong Secondary School has begun accepting new student applications. This school year, the school has welcomed more than 50 students, mainly children of officials from Bac Kan province (old), bringing the total number of students in the school to 824, divided into 19 classes.

Ms. Vu Thu Huong, the school principal, shared: We require all teachers to work together to create the best mindset for students to quickly adapt and catch up with their studies. From homeroom teachers communicating early with parents to organizing connecting activities in class, everything is aimed at making students feel welcome at the new school. The number of students has increased, leading to higher than average class sizes in some grades. However, the school has fully prepared plans for facilities and human resources to both meet the reception needs and ensure the quality of teaching and learning.

For Doi Can 1 Primary School, the school is located in the central area of ​​the ward, near many administrative agencies of the province. This school year, it also welcomes many students who are children of officials, civil servants, and public employees who have just transferred to other jobs.

Principal of Doi Can 1 Primary School, Nguyen Thi Huong, said: The number of classes this year remains at 33, but the number of students has increased. The school currently has a total of 1,369 students, including 37 students transferred from Bac Kan province (old). We have distributed them evenly to the classes to ensure reasonable numbers, while fully preparing facilities, learning environment, and familiarization activities for new students.

At the preschool level, schools are also focusing on preparing for the new school year. At Kindergarten 19-5, after the recent heavy rains, the kitchen was damp and the walls were peeling. At the beginning of August, ward leaders came to inspect and listen to recommendations on the need to repair the kitchen area to serve the new school year.

Ms. Ca Nguyen Linh Phuong, Principal of 19-5 Kindergarten, said: We hope the repair work will be completed in August before the children start the new school year. As a newly established central ward after the merger, Phan Dinh Phung ward has many educational facilities, and also receives more students transferred from other areas. This reality requires schools to proactively arrange, ensure adequate facilities, human resources and maintain a safe and friendly educational environment. The local government considers this a key political task, so it has implemented drastic direction right from the planning stage.

Mr. Tran Dinh Thin, Vice Chairman of Phan Dinh Phung Ward People's Committee, said: As soon as we received the new school year plan, we held a meeting with all educational institutions to clearly understand the needs and difficulties; directed schools to prioritize the arrangement of facilities and human resources, promptly handle arising issues, especially ensuring school safety and a friendly educational environment.

With close coordination between the government and the school, Phan Dinh Phung ward is preparing to enter the first school year after the merger with a proactive mindset, so that every student, whether newly transferred or already attached, can study in a safe, friendly and quality environment.
