Who is the new Director of Hanoi Tax Department?

On August 11, the General Department of Taxation announced the decision to transfer and appoint Mr. Vu Manh Cuong - Director of the Tax Inspection and Examination Department, General Department of Taxation to hold the position of Director of the Hanoi Tax Department.

Mr. Vu Manh Cuong was born in 1976 in Hai Duong , graduated from the University of Finance and Accounting, Master of Business Administration. In 2006, Mr. Cuong was recruited into the Tax industry.

In 2016, he was appointed as Deputy Director of the Inspection Department, now the Tax Inspection Department (General Department of Taxation). After 14 years of work, on January 17, 2020, Mr. Cuong was appointed as Director of the Tax Inspection Department.

Thus, currently, the leadership of Hanoi Tax Department includes: Mr. Vu Manh Cuong - Director; 4 Deputy Directors are: Mr. Nguyen Hong Thai, Nguyen Anh Dung, Nguyen Huu Hung and Nguyen Tien Truong.

Deputy Minister of Finance Cao Anh Tuan and Acting Director General of Taxation Mai Xuan Thanh presented the decision to appoint Mr. Vu Manh Cuong as Director of Hanoi Tax Department.

Speaking at the decision-making ceremony and assignment of tasks to the new Director of the Hanoi Tax Department, Mr. Mai Xuan Thanh - Acting Director General of the General Department of Taxation said that during his work, Mr. Vu Manh Cuong always demonstrated his management and operational capacity, responsibility in work and was a well-trained officer with basic training, capacity, deep professional qualifications, always excellently completing assigned tasks.

Furthermore, Mr. Cuong is an experienced person, has the ability to gather the masses, and has good working relationships with units inside and outside the Finance sector.

Speaking at the conference, Ms. Nguyen Thi Tuyen - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee said that in recent years, the Hanoi Tax Department has always received direct and regular leadership and direction from the Ministry of Finance, the General Department of Taxation, the City Party Committee, the People's Council, the People's Committee of Hanoi, and the regular and effective coordination of sectors and levels in tax work.

Therefore, over the past years, Hanoi Tax Department has excellently completed its assigned tasks and is one of the leading tax departments in the country.

Standing Deputy Secretary Nguyen Thi Tuyen believes that, in his new position, the new Director Vu Manh Cuong will continue to promote his practical experience, strive and train his political qualities, professional knowledge, and leadership ability to work with the Tax Department's leadership and all tax officials in the capital to overcome all difficulties and challenges, maintain the tradition of solidarity, and strive to excellently complete the assigned political tasks.

In his acceptance speech, Mr. Vu Manh Cuong thanked the Deputy Minister of Finance, the leaders of the General Department of Taxation, and the leaders of Hanoi for their attention, facilitation, and trust in appointing him to the position.

“The new position assigned to me will be both an honor and a great responsibility. I myself must try my best and make every effort. With the responsibility of being the head of the Capital Tax Department, I promise to use all my ability, intelligence and enthusiasm, maintain the tradition of solidarity and unity with the Tax Department's leadership to improve efficiency in direction and operation, focus on directing units, to complete all assigned tasks", Mr. Cuong said .
