At the meeting, representatives of departments and branches said that after 1 month of operating the 2-level local government, in addition to the advantages, civil servants also encountered many difficulties due to overloaded facilities of central agencies, long travel distances, and lack of public housing; some officials moved their whole family to the center of Ho Chi Minh City to work, hoping to create conditions for their children to transfer to school for convenient pick-up and drop-off, etc.

Concluding the meeting, Vice Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee Bui Minh Thanh shared the difficulties and inconveniences that civil servants are experiencing and said that the city's leaders always listen, accompany and remove obstacles, creating conditions for civil servants and workers to best complete their assigned tasks.

He requested the Office of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee to specifically count the agencies, units, and number of officials who wish to work at the former Binh Duong Centralized Administrative Center so that the city leaders can consider arranging them, ensuring streamlining, efficiency, and cost savings.

The Vice Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee also requested departments and branches to focus on performing key tasks well, ensuring safety for the building; at the same time, urgently review the need for personnel who need support in terms of travel conditions and official housing to report to the City Party Committee and the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee for consideration; assign the Department of Science and Technology and the Center for Innovation to review and train in the use of online meeting software and group work to improve work efficiency.
