Creating momentum for startups

Over the years, the Quang Nam Provincial Business Association has gradually affirmed its core role in promoting innovation, supporting startups and improving competitiveness for the local business community.

In the context of a strong but challenging economic recovery, building a team of businesses with the capacity to innovate and quickly adapt to market fluctuations is a vital requirement.

Mr. Tran Quoc Bao - Chairman of the Quang Nam Provincial Business Association said that the unit determines its central role not only as a place to represent the voice of businesses but also as a bridge to create an innovative startup ecosystem in Quang Nam and the Central region.

Since 2019, the association has organized more than 15 training courses and seminars, attracting more than 1,200 businessmen, managers and employees to participate. The training content is designed to meet the practical needs of businesses, from digital skills on social media platforms, communication, marketing, to updating new legal regulations and negotiation skills in labor relations.

“We are constantly looking for practical topics to support businesses in improving their capacity, especially their skills to adapt to the digital economy and globalization trends. The highlight is the digital transformation program in collaboration withFPT and the Department of Planning and Investment, helping more than 30 businesses assess their readiness and choose suitable technology solutions,” Mr. Bao shared.

In addition, the Quang Nam Provincial Business Association has also affirmed its active role in supporting startups through many practical activities. In recent years, the total resources for startups have reached more than 400 million VND, which is the basis for implementing consulting, incubation and market connection programs for potential startup projects.

According to Mr. Bao, the Quang Nam Provincial Business Association is gradually building an innovative business ecosystem through promoting internal linkages and external cooperation. With this orientation, the association has implemented the program "Connecting members", creating a platform for linking production and consumption, promoting internal value chains and enhancing competitiveness.

At the same time, strengthen cooperation with universities and research institutes to share startup knowledge, connect resources in terms of capital, technology, and markets - essential factors for the journey of sustainable development in the era of knowledge economy.

“We focus on encouraging large member enterprises to accompany young startups, creating spillovers and connections within the association. Each enterprise is both a production and business entity and an innovation center, with social responsibility and a vision for sustainable development. The role of the association is to support that, to be a bridge between the State, enterprises and the market,” Mr. Bao affirmed.
