Training on building "Learning Units" and "Learning Communities"

On October 17, at the Provincial Conference Center, the Department of Education and Training - Standing Agency of the Provincial Steering Committee for Building a Learning Society held a training conference to implement the assessment and recognition of "Learning Units" at district and provincial levels and the assessment and recognition of "Learning Communities" at commune, district and provincial levels.

Deputy Head of Department of Continuing Education Vu Thi Tu Anh reported at the training session.

Attending the training session were Associate Professor, Dr. Vu Thi Tu Anh - Deputy Head of the Department of Continuing Education ( Ministry of Education and Training ); representatives of the Department of Education and Training, the Provincial Association for Promotion of Education, leaders of the Department of Education and Training of districts, cities, towns and a number of agencies and units.

At the training conference, the reporters of the Ministry of Education and Training presented 4 topics: Some general issues on building "Learning Units" at district and provincial levels and building "Learning Communities" at commune, district and provincial levels to promote the building of a learning society in localities; Guidelines for evaluating and recognizing "Learning Units" at district and provincial levels; Some international experiences in building "Learning Communities" to promote lifelong learning for people; Guidelines for evaluating and recognizing "Learning Communities" at commune, district and provincial levels.

Overview of the training conference

Through the training session, it helped the management staff of the education and training sector and a number of agencies and units in the province grasp, understand the nature and implement effectively and in accordance with regulations in management work, plan development, implementation, evidence collection, reporting results, self-assessment and recognition of "Learning Units", "Learning Communities", prepare documents and procedures to request the People's Committees at district and provincial levels to organize inspection, assessment and recognition in accordance with the provisions of Circular No. 24/2023/TT-BGDDT and Circular No. 25/2023/TT-BGDDT of the Minister of Education and Training.
