Highly focused on implementing projects to serve the APEC 2027 conference

(Dan Tri) - Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Chi Dung requested to strive to complete projects and works 3 to 6 months ahead of schedule.

The Government Office has just issued Notice No. 444 on the conclusion of Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Chi Dung at the meeting to deploy infrastructure projects to serve the APEC 2027 conference.

The concluding announcement stated that the implementation of projects to serve the APEC 2027 conference is an extremely important political task, serving the foreign affairs of the Party and State.

Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Chi Dung emphasized that these are very urgent tasks, with a deadline for completion set. Relevant agencies and units are only allowed to "discuss forward", not "discuss backward" in the spirit of investing in projects to well serve the 2027 APEC Summit and develop a long-term strategy for Phu Quoc special economic zone.

The Government leader also requested that central ministries and branches, especially the People's Committee of An Giang province, must prioritize leadership and direction to complete assigned tasks, and strive to complete projects and works 3 to 6 months ahead of schedule.

Thereby, ensuring the best quality to have a beautiful and impressive project contributing to promoting and introducing Phu Quoc to international friends.

Ministries, agencies and localities must strictly implement the monthly reporting regime. The Government Office, based on the reports of the agencies, synthesizes and reports to the Deputy Prime Minister, and at the same time, studies and arranges a schedule every 2 to 3 months.

The Deputy Prime Minister will inspect the site, promptly urge project progress, resolve problems, and encourage contractors, construction units and workers.

The Government leader requested the People's Committee of An Giang province to urgently complete procedures, approve planning and designs, decide on other contents within its authority, and promptly start construction of the projects in September.

For the project group that has not yet selected an investor, An Giang province also needs to urgently deploy and complete the selection of investors, and start construction simultaneously in September.

For projects that have selected investors, the People's Committee of An Giang province urgently deploys all necessary procedures to soon organize construction this year.

The Deputy Prime Minister assigned the Ministry of Construction to preside over and coordinate with the An Giang People's Committee and relevant ministries, branches and agencies to monitor, inspect and supervise the implementation of projects, synthesize and periodically report to the Prime Minister on a monthly basis on the implementation process.

The Ministry of Construction also needs to urgently work with the An Giang People's Committee, Sun Airport Joint Stock Company, and ACV to unify the content and implementation plan for the conversion of airport operators.
