Taylor Swift won big at the MTV Europe Music Awards with 4 prestigious categories, BlackPink's Lisa was not the best K-pop artist this year.

Early morning of November 11, the results of the MTV Europe Music Awards held in Manchester, UK were announced.

At a stage inspired by Manchester's music culture and famous warehouse parties, MC Rita Ora stirred up the atmosphere with many impressive costumes, attracting thousands of fans.

The show also had a moment to remember the passing of Liam Payne - former member of the band One Direction.

Taylor Swift, Lisa BlackPink dominate MTV EMA 2024

Taylor Swift leads the awards list at the 2024 MTV Europe Music Awards (2024 MTV EMA) with many categories, including Best Video with the song Fortnight (feat. Post Malone), Best Artist, Best Performance and Best American Artist.

Following closely behind is Tyla, a newcomer to the MTV EMAs, who has already bagged three awards including Best Afrobeats, Best R&B, and Best African Act.

Benson Boone won Best New Artist. Peso Pluma, who won Best New Artist in 2023, continued his winning streak with Best Latin Artist.

K-pop idols also had some success. Most notably, BlackPink's Lisa won Best Collaboration for "New Woman," her hit solo single with Spanish singer Rosalia. She is the first Asian female artist to win the award.

The singer also won the Biggest Fan award, becoming the first female artist in 13 years to achieve this feat.

BTS' Jimin was named Best K-pop Artist, giving the group their second win in the category after Jungkook last year.

Girl group Le Sserafim won the Best Push award, which is given to the artist who performed best among those featured in MTV's MTV Push Campaign during the past year.

In addition, the Best Song award went to Sabrina Carpenter's Espresso , Ariana Grande (Best Pop), Calvin Harris (Best Electronic), Imagine Dragons (Best Alternative), Eminem (Best Hip Hop).

In particular, Manchester legend Liam Gallagher was honored with the Best Rock award.

Busta Rhymes, hip hop icon, won the 2024 MTV EMA Global Icon award. The rapper stirred up the atmosphere with a vibrant performance with a troupe of dancers, recreating a series of classic songs such as Scenario, Break Ya Neck, and Pass The Courvoisier.

Raye - winner of Best UK & Ireland Act - impressed with her voice and star-studded stage presence, accompanied by a 30-piece choir and 13-piece live band.

Closing the show, the Pet Shop Boys received the Pioneer of Pop award, performed with the Manchester Camerata orchestra, recreating the hit West End Girls - marking 40 years since the song was released.
