Southern lottery tickets increased 4 times during the Lunar New Year with 15 million tickets/lottery period, equivalent to 150 billion VND in revenue/period.

The Ministry of Finance has just issued a document agreeing to allow lottery companies in the Southern region to issue 4 Spring At Ty tickets according to the request of the Southern Lottery Council.

The increase in sales includes 1 period before Tet and 3 periods after Tet, from January 22 to February 18, 2025 (ie December 23 to January 21). Each lottery company issues 150 billion VND/period.

The Ministry of Finance held a regular meeting with the Southern Lottery Council to monitor and direct member lottery companies to organize the issuance within the prescribed sales quota and opening schedule.

Fully comply with legal regulations, be responsible for issuing lottery tickets and receiving unsold lottery tickets, and at the same time check, correct and handle agents distributing tickets in the wrong method and in the wrong location.

Previously, on October 1, lottery companies in the Southern region also increased their sales from 120 billion VND/lottery period to 130 billion VND/lottery period.

Traditional lottery revenue at lottery companies in the Southern region in the first 9 months of 2024 reached VND 103,708 billion, up 0.87% over the same period in 2023. Of which, lottery companies paid the budget VND 35,392 billion, up 12.87% over the same period in 2023.
