Identifying product research and development as the key to enhancing competitiveness and moving towards sustainable development, THACO AUTO has established a Research & Development (R&D) Center right at the THACO Bus factory - the largest passenger car manufacturing factory in Southeast Asia.

Here, a team of experienced engineers combined with a modern design process has created a closed product development ecosystem from market research, technical design - materials, to testing and completion. In addition, the Center also promotes the application of technology, developing smart bus lines, suitable for domestic operating conditions and meeting export standards.

Highly automated production line

The production line is highly automated with a series of modern technologies, including: a combined stamping line (1,600 - 6,300 tons) that helps shape the car body with high precision; a modern robotic welding and laser cutting system that optimizes the structure and increases durability; a fully immersed ED electrostatic painting technology that creates an even coating, improving corrosion resistance in all operating conditions. Interior and exterior details are manufactured at the factory with advanced equipment imported from Germany, Italy and Japan, ensuring international quality standards.

The entire production process at THACO Bus is closely monitored by smart management systems SCADA, MES, ERP, helping to optimize performance, control quality in real time, ensuring that each vehicle leaving the factory meets the highest standards. With a localization rate of over 70%, THACO Bus controls the supply chain, flexibly meeting the needs of domestic and foreign customers with highly competitive products in the market.

THACO Bus's product portfolio is diversely developed, fully meeting the needs of passenger transport, from fixed routes, contract vehicles, employee shuttles to high-end tourism and travel vehicles. Outstanding among them are the THACO Cruizer seat bus (20 - 47 seats) and the THACO Mobihome 120 sleeper bus (22 - 36 beds), which are highly appreciated for their quality, comfort and operational efficiency.
