Healing is a legitimate need when facing psychological trauma and wanting to improve mental health. Curious and hoping to quickly mend the wounds of the soul, many young people are willing to spend a sum of money to participate.

Grasping this need, many healing programs and courses have sprung up like mushrooms in all forms, most of which are not cheap in tuition fees, and the quality is mixed.

Just hurt, just lost money for healing

Le Thi Nhi (26 years old, living in Phu Nhuan district, Ho Chi Minh City) said that at the end of last year, after experiencing a period of severe stress due to losing her job and family problems, she turned to a healing course advertised as "emotional management, helping you escape from negative situations, learn to let go of things that don't go as planned, and understand yourself."

Not having much money, Nhi chose to take a 6-session online class for 2 million VND.

"We had one class a week. I sat with a few others and listened to lectures on the computer. Sometimes we were asked to meditate and take deep breaths to reflect, but the lectures were all general theories to temporarily soothe sadness, no different from the quotes I often read online," Nhi said.

After finishing the course, Nhi said that not only did she not resolve her psychological instability, but she was also traumatized because she felt like she had foolishly lost money.

Luckier than Nhi, Ms. Ngan Ha (36 years old, in Tan Phu district) found a method that was suitable for herself after a period of struggling with anxiety disorder.

Ms. Ha shared that before she became depressed due to her love affair, she never thought about seeking treatment or seeking a healing course. But when faced with severe emotional trauma, a friend suggested that Ha attend a meditation course.

"Needless to say, my other friends tried to dissuade me, fearing that I would be led into some nonsense course that would turn the healthy into the lame or some dangerous cult.

But as a careful and cautious person, I searched for a lot of information to learn more and found that I could safely attend," she said.

During 10 days of meditation at a temple, completely without TV or phone, Ms. Ha felt isolated from toxic relationships, thoughts, and habits that she had previously been unable to escape.

"At the meditation school, in addition to being taught meditation skills and breathing techniques to avoid focusing on my negative thoughts, I also gradually changed my habits, eating and sleeping hours after a whole year of living without any schedule or discipline.

It's like a detox course to rid myself of toxic habits and behaviors," Ha confided.

After returning, although she could not completely forget the trauma, she was able to re-establish a healthy lifestyle, eating, sleeping and living, improving both her physical and mental health.

“Other than that, I don't believe in any kind of mystical healing or preaching of any other lofty philosophies,” she said.

As for Nhi, after realizing that the wound healing courses that were all over the internet could not help her, she chose to bring herself back to nature, opening up to close friends or people who had experienced the same situation as her.

Healing psychological wounds takes time and, above all, effort from the person involved. There is no specific formula that can be applied to all, each method may be right for one person but not suitable for another person's story.

Therefore, people who need therapy and improve their mental health should research and consult several methods and then choose the one that suits them.

Some solutions for people in need of psychological therapy

- Think slowly, look back at the problem seriously to see what you want.

- Open up and share with relatives, friends, and people who have experienced similar things to ask for help.

- You can share your situation on psychological support forums on social networks or online documents for consultation.

- See a psychiatrist or psychologist to talk and find the right treatment.

- Eat healthy, play sports , participate in your favorite sports or try new things.

- Pet care

- Reward yourself with a trip depending on your current conditions…

Have you ever wished to be healed? Do you think that the sharing of "wanting to be healed" by young people on social networks is just for fun or reflects their true desire? Please share your opinion at tto@tuoitre.com.vn. Tuoi Tre Online thanks you.
