The Political Department Party Committee has 86 Party members operating in 5 grassroots Party organizations. During the past term, the Party Committee thoroughly grasped the resolutions, directives, and regulations; did a good job of advising, directing, guiding, and excellently implementing many goals and targets set out in the Resolution of the Congress for the 2020-2025 term. Internal solidarity was maintained and promoted; the leadership capacity and fighting strength of Party committees and organizations were constantly improved; the contingent of cadres and Party members promoted their responsibilities and working capacity according to assigned tasks and responsibilities. The Party Committee has successfully and excellently completed its tasks for many consecutive years and was awarded the Emulation Flag.

The Party Committee has advised the City Military Party Committee to issue 145 resolutions and 98 conclusions on Party building work and military and defense tasks; coordinated to advise leaders and direct the good implementation of projects, build a strong and comprehensive foundation, "Skilled Civil Service" models, and build units that meet the standards of "Good Civil Service Units". In particular, coordinated to build 12 "Comrades' Houses", 42 "Great Solidarity Houses", eliminate 70 temporary and dilapidated houses; organized 15 field trips to do civil service work; provided free medicine to over 1,200 people, gave over 300 gifts to policy beneficiaries; collected 82 martyrs' remains in Laos and 31 martyrs' remains in the country...

In the 2025 - 2030 term, the Party Committee of the Political Department focuses on implementing three breakthroughs: Doing well the work of advising on Party activities, political work correctly, accurately, promptly and effectively. Improving the quality of regular construction, strengthening discipline, order, ensuring safety; actively applying digital transformation, science and technology, and military administrative reform. Improving the comprehensive leadership capacity, high fighting strength of the Party Committee, Party cells and the responsibility to set an example for cadres and Party members.

With the theme: "Improving the leadership capacity and comprehensive fighting strength of the Party Committee; innovating, creating, and making breakthroughs in advising on the implementation of political tasks to meet the requirements of the new situation; focusing on building a comprehensively strong agency "Exemplary and typical"; The Congress elected a new Executive Committee of 7 members, and elected 14 delegates to attend the congress at a higher level.
