The match between Thanh Hoa and HAGL took place with a tight and lack of breakthroughs for most of the time. Both teams entered the game confidently and actively pressed, but the quality of the passes was not high.

On the other side, HAGL proactively withdrew their attacking players to preserve their advantage. In the 88th minute, the away team ended the match with a goal by Cao Hoang Minh. This player received the ball on the edge of the penalty area and unleashed a powerful shot, sealing a 2-0 victory for HAGL right on Thanh Hoa's field in the National Cup qualifiers.
