Thanh Hoa presented Ca Mau with a bronze drum and a gold-plated sword.

On September 1, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Ca Mau province held a ceremony to receive a bronze drum donated by the Thanh Hoa Cultural Heritage and Antiquities Association (Thanh Hoa province).

At the ceremony, the Association handed over a large bronze drum, a small bronze drum and a 68cm long sword, plated with 24K gold.

The two bronze drums depict many images associated with the life and career of President Ho Chi Minh and revolutionary milestones.

The sword is crafted to imitate Ba Trieu's sword - a national treasure currently on display at Thanh Hoa Museum.

This is part of the project "Bronze drum journey following Uncle Ho's footsteps" of the Thanh Hoa Cultural Heritage and Antiquities Association, awarded on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day September 2.

The artifacts will be displayed at the President Ho Chi Minh Memorial Site and Ca Mau Provincial Museum (An Xuyen Ward).

Speaking at the ceremony, the leader of Ca Mau province expressed his gratitude and emphasized that the donation of the bronze drum has profound meaning, demonstrating friendship, solidarity and cultural exchange between the two lands despite the geographical distance.

Provincial leaders requested relevant units to preserve, display and regularly promote the work so that the younger generation can better understand the cultural and historical value of bronze drums, as well as the connection between Thanh Hoa and Ca Mau.

On this occasion, the People's Committee of Ca Mau province awarded certificates of merit to a collective and four individuals with achievements in the bronze drum casting and donation program.

Before the reception ceremony, the delegation of Thanh Hoa Cultural Heritage and Antiquities Association and provincial leaders offered incense at the President Ho Chi Minh Memorial Site (An Xuyen ward).
