The launching ceremony of Youth Month 2025 with the theme "Vietnamese youth are proud and firmly believe in the Party" was held in Ben Luc district, Long An province, with a series of response programs.

On March 1, the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union and Long An province jointly organized the launching ceremony of Youth Month 2025 at the Ben Luc District Cultural and Sports Center, Ben Luc town, Long An.

Strengthening faith in the Party

Attending the ceremony were Deputy Prime Minister Le Thanh Long, leaders of the Central Youth Union, leaders of the Vietnam Youth Union, leaders of Long An province and hundreds of youth union members.

Delivering the opening speech of Youth Month, Mr. Bui Quang Huy - alternate member of the Party Central Committee, First Secretary of the Central Youth Union - said that over more than two decades, Youth Month has not only created hundreds of thousands of valuable youth works and projects but also been a rich and vast practical school and a healthy social environment for young people.

"The Central Secretariat of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union chose the theme of Youth Month 2025 as Vietnamese Youth are proud and confident in following the Party so that the youth can review and be proud of the nation's heroic revolutionary historical tradition, and together summarize the contributions of the youth to the country's revolutionary cause.

From there, we will have more confidence in the Party, more motivation, more determination to act, contribute to building the country firmly into a new era, an era of national growth," said Mr. Huy.

Mr. Nguyen Van Ut - Chairman of Long An Provincial People's Committee - said: "The launching ceremony of Youth Month 2025 with the youthful, vibrant, enthusiastic, daring to think and dare to do spirit of the youth.

I believe that through this, the spirit of solidarity, innovation, and creativity will spread more widely, urging higher determination and greater efforts among union members and youth to best fulfill the key goals and tasks identified in 2025."

Youth is a resource for developing new productive forces.

Speaking at the ceremony, Deputy Prime Minister Le Thanh Long asked the youth team, with the core being the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union, to focus on effectively implementing assigned tasks.

"It is necessary to deeply recognize the position and role of youth as the main resource to build and develop new productive forces, as the pioneering team participating in new fields, and as an important factor to bring the country firmly into a new era," the Deputy Prime Minister noted.

The Deputy Prime Minister also added that it is necessary to thoroughly grasp the direction of General Secretary To Lam: Youth need to clearly demonstrate their role in all activities of social life, need to be clearly aware of their responsibilities and duties, must be the leading force in studying and training, constantly strive to master science and technology, be steadfast, determined, united, must do what is worth doing, prioritize action, talk less, do more, be proactive, decisive, grasp and take advantage of opportunities, absolutely not arrogant or complacent.

Maintain the spirit of self-reliance, self-confidence, self-reliance, national pride, practical and creative actions in work, study, scientific research, and be proactive in political, economic and social tasks.

The Deputy Prime Minister also requested the Youth Union to launch and implement practical activities, strengthen solidarity, and gather young people from all walks of life and all fields to promote the great potential of young people. At the same time, he requested Party committees and local authorities to continue to pay more attention and listen to the voices of young people, thereby having specific mechanisms and policies to support young people.

"To you young people, I hope you always promote the spirit of solidarity and unanimity, turning love for the Fatherland into a driving force to strive and rise up. Always nurture and cherish passion and ambition, contribute your strength and intelligence to help your homeland and country develop quickly and sustainably, bringing the Vietnamese people to the stage of glory, standing shoulder to shoulder with the world powers as beloved Uncle Ho always wished," the Deputy Prime Minister added.

During Youth Month 2025, there will be 3 peak activity days simultaneously deployed at Youth Union bases across the country, including the Peak Day "Volunteering to build civilized urban areas", the Peak Day "Volunteering to join hands to build new rural areas and Green Sunday", Youth Union Day.

At the Central level, the Central Youth Union organizes the program "March Border Month"; Dialogue program between the Prime Minister and youth, with the theme "Vietnamese youth are pioneers and creative in promoting green and sustainable economic development"; Contest "Uncle Ho with children, children with Uncle Ho"; Postage stamp collection and learning contest in 2025 with the theme "50 years of liberation of the South and national reunification through postage stamps"; Award ceremony of Outstanding Young Vietnamese Faces in 2024; Forum "Voice of Youth - Action of the Union"; Program to celebrate the 94th anniversary of the founding of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union and award the Ly Tu Trong Award in 2025...
