Lao Cai City honors 146 students with high achievements in Olympic competitions in the 2023

Attending the ceremony were representatives of the Department of Education and Training of Lao Cai city; representatives of the Research Institute for Creative Education (RICE) along with teachers, parents and award-winning students.

Leaders of Lao Cai City Department of Education and Training gave encouraging speeches and congratulated students and teachers who won prizes.

In the 2023-2024 school year, the Lao Cai city education sector encourages students to participate in the national and international ASMO 2024 Science , Math and English Olympiad; SEAMO Math - English Olympiad organized by the Research Institute for Creative Education (RICE) - representative of the International Organizing Committee in Vietnam.

Awarding scholarships to attend the IPITEX Thailand Science and Technology Competition for excellent students.

In the ASMO and SEAMO International Olympic Competitions for the 2023-2024 school year, Lao Cai city had 146 excellent students winning Gold Medals in 4 categories (Math; Science; ASMO English and SEAMO Math - English). Of which, 26 excellent students entered the ASMO 2023 international finals and won 3 Gold medals, 2 Silver medals, 6 Bronze medals, 10 Encouragement prizes, and 5 students received Certificates.

Honoring and awarding students who won national and international prizes in the ASMO Science, Math and English Olympiads; SEAMO Math and English Olympiads in the 2023-2024 school year.

Also within the framework of the program, the Department of Education and Training organized awards and certificates for teachers participating in competitions and contests, including: designing tests to develop students' qualities and competencies; teachers who are good at teaching STEM lessons; teachers who are good at teaching connected lessons for primary school level; teachers who make their own teaching aids - develop STEM lesson plans for secondary school level.

In the competition for excellent teachers of STEM lessons at primary school level, Lao Cai city had 36 teachers participating in the provincial competition and won 36/36 prizes, including: 11 first prizes, 10 second prizes, 11 third prizes and 4 consolation prizes.

ASMO International Science, Mathematics and English Olympiad; SEAMO English Mathematics helps assess global science, mathematics and English abilities for students from primary to high school. The exam is an intellectual challenge through Science, Mathematics and English for students; discovers and encourages young talents to develop, contributing to the education of each country in particular and the world in general; promotes learning and development of scientific, mathematical and English thinking effectively.

The achievements of Lao Cai city students at the ASMO International Science, Mathematics and English Olympiad; SEAMO English Mathematics Olympiad contribute to building innovative and integrated Lao Cai education.
