Teacher beats wife to hospital and is reprimanded

Dak Lak Mr. Nguyen Vu Hoang Long, a teacher in Buon Don district, was disciplined by the school for beating his wife to the point of hospitalization.

On June 5, a representative of Nguyen Thi Minh Khai Primary School said that the school had a meeting and agreed to discipline Mr. Long with a reprimand for domestic violence .

Three weeks ago, on May 14, Mr. Long and his wife (a kindergarten teacher) had a conflict. During the argument, Mr. Long beat his wife, causing many injuries to her head and face, forcing her to be hospitalized.

In his report, Mr. Long said he beat his wife because he was frustrated and angry about the conflicts in their marriage. He had previously asked for a divorce many times but his wife refused.

According to the Law on Domestic Violence Prevention, violators, depending on the nature and severity, will be subject to administrative sanctions, disciplinary action, or criminal prosecution.
