Another Covid-19 patient died

On the afternoon of May 20, the Ministry of Health announced that during the day, the country had 1,190 new Covid-19 cases and 1 death in Tay Ninh. This is the latest death recorded after nearly 10 years without any deaths nationwide.

Since the beginning of the pandemic, Vietnam has had over 11.6 million Covid-19 cases and over 10.6 million people have been cured. Regarding treatment on the day, 302 people have recovered from Covid-19. There are currently 85 severe Covid-19 patients requiring oxygen and ventilators. The total number of deaths due to Covid-19 in Vietnam to date is 43,202 cases, accounting for 0.4% of the total number of cases.

Covid-19 epidemic on May 20 is still above 1,000 cases/day

Regarding the Covid-19 vaccination, on May 19, 4,900 doses of Covid-19 vaccine were injected. Thus, the total number of vaccines injected was more than 266.3 million doses of all types.
