High School Graduation Exam 2025: History has 'rain' of 10s

The average score for History this year is 6.52, the median score is 6.6. It is worth mentioning that History is the subject with a "rain" of 10s, with 1,518 candidates achieving it. Nationwide, only 2 candidates received 0s.

In 2025, the whole country will have nearly 1.17 million candidates registering to take the 2018 General Education Program and the 2006 General Education Program in parallel.

For 12th graders, the 2025 high school graduation exam includes two compulsory subjects: Mathematics and Literature. In addition, candidates can choose two subjects from the following: Chemistry, Physics, Biology, Geography, History, Economic and Legal Education, Information Technology, Technology and Foreign Languages to take the exam.

The History exam has been renewed with 28 objective multiple choice questions, true or false, and candidates have 50 minutes to complete.

The average score for History in 2024 is 6.57 points.

The 2024 High School Graduation Exam will have nearly 1.1 million candidates nationwide. History is one of three subjects in the Social Sciences group with more than 706,000 candidates taking the exam. Last year's exam results showed that nationwide, more than 2,100 candidates scored 10 points.
