Cam Xuyen town speeds up urban infrastructure construction

Cam Xuyen town (Cam Xuyen district, Ha Tinh province) is focusing resources on building infrastructure and urban embellishment, striving to achieve type 4 urban status by 2025.

The main route to Residential Area 3, Cam Xuyen town is like a large construction site with dozens of machines and vehicles mobilized to pave the road. After many years of waiting, the road has been paved with asphalt according to the wishes of the residents of the neighborhood, thereby contributing to consolidating and improving traffic criteria in building a civilized urban area.

Mr. Nguyen Xuan Hung - Secretary of the Party Cell of Residential Group 3, Cam Xuyen Town excitedly said: "This time, Residential Group 3 will proceed to lay about 2.3 km of asphalt road. 80% of the cost of laying the asphalt is taken from the town's budget, the rest is contributed by local people. On average, each household, Residential Group mobilizes a contribution of 200,000 VND. The mobilization of socialization is highly agreed and supported by the people."

Not only Residential Group 3, currently, all Residential Groups in Cam Xuyen town have been paving the main roads. During this time, Cam Xuyen town will be paving more than 10 km of roads with a total cost of more than 10 billion VND. The paved roads have received the consensus and great contribution of resources from the people. Calculating the total routes, the resources contributed by the people have reached nearly 2 billion VND.

During this period, Cam Xuyen town will asphalt more than 10 km.

Mr. Pham Van Dan - Secretary of Cam Xuyen Town Party Committee said: “After the merger, Cam Xuyen Town stretches over 16 km, so infrastructure investment requires large resources, but the town does not have priority resources, so construction work is very difficult. Up to this point, Cam Xuyen Town has only achieved 5/9 civilized urban criteria according to Decision No. 04/2022/QD-TTg dated February 18, 2022 of the Prime Minister. The town has not yet met the criteria: urban planning, urban traffic, urban culture and sports , urban environment and food safety, so the locality is focusing resources to implement construction. Since the beginning of the year, we have focused on the criteria of urban traffic and urban culture and sports”.

Investing in upgrading village cultural houses

Not only focusing on urban traffic criteria, at this time, Cam Xuyen town is also mobilizing all resources to invest in and upgrade cultural houses of residential areas throughout the area. From 2022 to now, Cam Xuyen town has built 4 new residential cultural houses; in which, each cultural house has a total investment of over 1 - 2 billion VND. The cultural houses are all rebuilt on new foundations with an area of ​​4,000 ^m2 or more, the meeting hall can accommodate over 150 people.

Cultural House of Residential Group 4, Cam Xuyen town has completed basic construction and is in the stage of paving the yard.

Started in April 2022, TDP 4 cultural house has now completed the basic construction. At this time, TDP 4 is paving the garden and constructing items: parking lot, showroom, table tennis house...

Mr. Tran Van May - Head of Residential Group 4, Cam Xuyen town said: "The old cultural house is only ^600m2 wide, not enough to meet the cultural activities and entertainment of the people, so when mobilizing social resources to build a new one, it was supported by the people. To build the new cultural house, each family voluntarily contributed 3 million VND/household. Together with the town's budget, Residential Group 4 has built a new cultural house with a total investment of more than 1.9 billion VND. The new cultural house is not only a place for people to live, study and play, but also a place for families in the village to use when organizing events such as weddings, engagements...".

According to statistics, currently, 14/15 TDP cultural houses of Cam Xuyen town have basically met civilized urban standards. Not only upgrading infrastructure, the locality also strengthens the organization of cultural, physical education, sports and grassroots information activities, creating a vibrant and joyful atmosphere, arousing movements among the masses. The work of preserving and promoting the value of cultural heritage continues to be invested, restored, embellished and maintained by the authorities.

With high concentration, Cam Xuyen town strives to complete 1-2 more civilized urban criteria by the end of 2023, thereby shortening the distance to completing the goal of meeting type 4 urban standards by 2025.
