Revenue of 1,122 billion VND from tourism during the Lunar New Year of Giap Thin

On February 13, Mr. Bui Quoc Thai - Director of Kien Giang Province Department of Tourism said: From the 29th of Tet to the 5th of Tet (February 8-14), the locality is estimated to have reached 335,054 visitors, of which 53,598 are foreigners; visitors to areas and points reached 214,381, guests staying 120,673, room occupancy rate reached 66.3%. Total revenue reached 1,122 billion VND.

Phu Quoc City alone is estimated to welcome 191,255 visitors, including 51,929 international visitors and 66,958 overnight guests, up 4.6% over the same period.

Mr. Thai also informed that the preparation for serving tourists on the occasion of the Lunar New Year 2024 has been well prepared by localities and tourism service businesses, products and services have been consolidated and renewed, some new products have been put into operation such as the Show "Kiss the star", "Proposal", "Fun Fest Bazaar Night Market", "Light Park and Snow Forest" and many other cultural, artistic, entertainment activities... ready to serve tourists.
