According to the widely shared image, the scores for the four subjects are 0.29 points in math, 9.75 points in literature, 10 points in foreign languages and economic and legal education. Thus, if block C19 (combined literature, foreign languages, economic and legal education) is used for university admission, this candidate will achieve 29.75 points.
Under the post, many comments expressed sadness when the candidate got high scores but got a failing grade, and will fail to graduate.
However, according to the comparison of Dan Tri reporter based on data from more than 1.1 million candidates announced by the Ministry of Education and Training , no student had the above scores in the 4 subjects. The 5 top students of block C19 only achieved 29 points.
It can be confirmed that the information shared above is false.

According to the 2025 High School Graduation Exam Regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training, a failing score is defined as 1 point or lower in any exam subject.
To be recognized as a high school graduate, candidates must simultaneously meet two conditions: not failing any exam subject and having a graduation score of 5.0 or higher.
This means that even if a candidate achieves a very high total university entrance score, if just one subject has a score of 1 point or lower, the door to graduation will be closed.
According to Dan Tri reporter's statistics, among more than 1.12 million candidates taking the 4 subjects of high school graduation exam in the 2018 program, there were 37 cases with a total admission score of over 20 but failed. Most of the candidates failed in math, with a few failing in English, geography, and physics.
One example is the case of candidate number 290281xx ( Nghe An ) with a total admission score for block C03 (math, literature, history) of 25.5 points, or an average of 8.5 points/subject.

Many candidates with high scores for university admission but fail, may not meet the requirements for high school graduation (Synthesized by: Huyen Nguyen).
Another case is a candidate from Ha Giang, with a total score of 24.5 points for block C00 (literature, history, geography) but a math score of only 0.4 points.
The next two candidates from Ho Chi Minh City and Nghe An both had admission scores of 23.75 but failed.
Preliminary statistics of the 2025 high school graduation exam show that up to 936 candidates failed, a sharp increase compared to last year. Of which, the math subject recorded a record high number of failed scores with 777 candidates, a 10-fold increase compared to the number of 76 in 2024.
