Thuy Linh enters the final, aiming for her 4th consecutive championship

(NLDO) - Nguyen Thuy Linh excellently won the right to enter the final of the Vietnam Open Badminton Tournament 2025 after a 2-0 victory over Korean player Kim Min-ji.

Despite ending the match in 2 sets, Nguyen Thuy Linh's semi-final match of the women's singles at the Super 100 - Vietnam Open 2025 took place with a difficult development. The No. 1 female tennis player of Vietnam was the one to open the score against Kim Min-ji (ranked 123), but she was quite slow in entering the match, constantly letting her opponent chase and at times being behind.

The Korean even created a gap of 18-14 and came close to winning. However, the spirit of the number 1 Vietnamese tennis player spoke up at the right time. The number 1 seed of the women's singles only let Kim Min-ji score 1 more point and came back to win a thrilling 21-19.

Thuy Linh defeated the Korean player to defend the championship.

In the second set, Thuy Linh played confidently, dominating the game with unexpected moves, speed and good situation reading ability, continuously scoring points. Meanwhile, Kim Min-ji still showed many bright shots, but her inexperience prevented her from surprising Linh's experience.

Winning 21-16 in set 2, Thuy Linh closed the match with a final score of 2-0. This victory brought Thuy Linh to the final and affirmed her position as the number 1 tennis player in Vietnam on the journey to conquer another super 100 title.

Thuy Linh's opponent in the women's singles final will be Chinese player Cai Yanyan, ranked 107th in the world , who won 2-0 against Ashmita Chaliha (India, ranked 211).
