Helping flood victims overcome difficulties

On October 3, many agencies, businesses and organizations came to the headquarters of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF) to directly support people in provinces and cities to overcome the consequences of storm No. 10.

On October 3, many agencies, businesses and organizations came to the headquarters of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF) to directly support people in provinces and cities to overcome the consequences of storm No. 10.

Representing the State Audit, Ms. Ha Thi My Dung, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Deputy State Auditor General, presented a donation of VND 1,145 billion to the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front. According to Ms. Ha Thi My Dung: This is the sharing of all officials and civil servants in the State Audit agency, with the desire to promptly support and assist people to overcome difficulties and soon stabilize their lives.

In the localities that suffered damage, after the storm hit, the Auditing units went to the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committees of the provinces and cities to provide support, coordinated with the Front to the places heavily affected by storms and floods, and gave gifts to people affected by natural disasters. Ms. Ha Thi My Dung hopes that the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front will promptly distribute this support money to people in the provinces and cities affected by storm No. 10 so that people can soon stabilize their housing and rebuild their lives after the flood passes.

Presenting the donation of 500 million VND to the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, Mr. Pham Van Nha, Deputy Chief of the Office of the Supreme People's Court, said: Responding to the call of the Presidium of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front to mobilize support for people to overcome the damage caused by storm No. 10, each civil servant, public employee and employee of the Supreme People's Court has joined hands to donate and support funds with the desire to support people in areas heavily affected by storms and floods to soon overcome difficulties and stabilize their lives.

On the same day, the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front received support from the following units: Vietnam Electricity Group 3 billion VND; Phu Quy Gold Investment Joint Stock Company 300 million VND; Phu Quy Gold - Silver - Gemstone Limited Liability Company 300 million VND; Halcom Vietnam Joint Stock Company 100 million VND; Bitexco Group 100 million VND...

According to the representative of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, storm No. 10 has caused serious consequences, especially in the provinces of Ha Tinh , Nghe An, Thanh Hoa, and Quang Tri. Responding to the call of the Presidium of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, up to now, there have been over 700 billion VND in donations and registered donations from agencies, units, businesses, organizations and individuals both at home and abroad sent to the Central Relief Mobilization Committee - Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front.

The entire amount of donations will be allocated publicly, transparently, for the right purpose and with the highest efficiency in supporting people to overcome damage after storms and floods by the Central Relief Committee - Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front.

Also on the afternoon of October 3 , in Hanoi, the Central Policy and Strategy Committee held a launching ceremony to support people affected by storm No. 10.

Promoting the tradition of solidarity and mutual love, at the ceremony, the leaders of the Central Policy and Strategy Committee and all civil servants, public employees and workers of the Committee donated at least one day's salary each, contributing to joining hands with the whole country to support people in localities heavily affected by storms and floods to quickly overcome damage and stabilize their lives.

Last September, our country was affected by 4 storms. Of which, storm No. 10 (Bualoi) was strong, and its passage over land lasted a long time; the storm's circulation caused heavy rain, flash floods, and widespread flooding, with water levels in many rivers exceeding alert level 3, and in some places exceeding historical flood levels. Natural disasters caused severe damage to people, property, and infrastructure in localities in the Northern and North Central regions.

At the 4th Session (special session), Can Tho City People's Council, term X, 2021-2026, the City Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, and Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Can Tho City organized a campaign to support people affected by storm No. 10 (Bualoi).

Speaking at the launching ceremony, Ms. Ho Thi Cam Dao, Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, Chairwoman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Can Tho City, read the appeal letter of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the city calling on all classes of people, cadres, civil servants, public employees, soldiers of the armed forces, religious organizations, workers, agencies, units, organizations, businesses, philanthropists, compatriots inside and outside the city with affection and heart to join hands to share and support compatriots in the provinces and cities of the Central region that suffered damage caused by storm No. 10.

In which, each cadre, civil servant, public employee, armed force, and employee receiving salary from the state budget in the city participates in donating at least 1 day's salary or more. Agencies, units, enterprises, people of all walks of life, and religious organizations in the city voluntarily contribute according to their ability to contribute and their generosity.

The Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Can Tho city is the focal point for receiving, allocating, and promptly transferring all resources to people in affected areas, ensuring publicity, transparency, and the right target, contributing with the Central Government and localities to promptly overcome the consequences of natural disasters and stabilize life.

At the launching ceremony, delegates of the City People's Council and representatives of departments, branches and sectors of Can Tho city actively participated in contributing to support people affected by damage in the Central provinces caused by storm No. 10.

Previously , on October 2, with the agreement of the Standing Committee of Can Tho City Party Committee, Can Tho City advanced 500 million VND to provide immediate support to 5 localities that suffered heavy damage caused by storm No. 10, including Nghe An, Ha Tinh, Thanh Hoa, Ninh Binh, Quang Tri, each locality.
