Latest storm news November 8: Early this morning, storm Yinxing entered the eastern sea of the North East Sea, becoming storm number 7 with strong winds of level 14, gusts of level 17.
The National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting said that early this morning (November 8), storm Yinxing entered the eastern sea of the North East Sea, becoming the 7th storm in 2024.
At 4am, the strongest wind near the storm center was level 14 (150-166km/h), gusting to level 17. Moving west at a speed of about 15km/h.
The latest forecast shows that after entering the East Sea, storm No. 7 will move mainly in a westerly direction, towards the North of the Hoang Sa archipelago, then change direction to the West Northwest and then West Southwest towards the sea areas of the Central Central provinces.
However, when storm No. 7 approaches the Hoang Sa archipelago, its intensity is likely to weaken; most likely when it makes landfall it will only be level 8 or weaken into a tropical depression.
From the next 72 to 120 hours, the storm will move to the Southwest, traveling 10-15km per hour, and continue to weaken.
The meteorological agency noted that the trajectory and intensity of storm No. 7 are still complicated, so people need to update and monitor in the next bulletins.
Due to the influence of storm No. 7, the eastern sea area of the North East Sea has strong winds of level 8-11, near the storm's eye level 12-14, gusts of level 17, waves 4-6m high, near the eye 6-8m; rough seas.
Vessels operating in the above mentioned dangerous areas are susceptible to the impact of storms, whirlwinds, strong winds and large waves.
