Organize a guard force when the flood is especially large on the Thao River

On September 30, Deputy Minister of Construction Le Anh Tuan signed and issued urgent dispatch 69/CD-BXD on focusing on responding to and overcoming the consequences of storm No. 10 and post-storm floods, especially proactively responding to exceptionally large floods on Thao River.

The Ministry of Construction requests agencies and units to promptly respond to the exceptionally large floods on the Thao River in Lao Cai and Phu Tho provinces, organize forces to guard, control, support, and guide to ensure safe traffic for people and vehicles, especially at culverts, spillways, deep flooded areas, fast-flowing water, areas where landslides have occurred or are at risk of landslides; resolutely not allow people and vehicles to pass if safety is not ensured, not to cause unfortunate human losses due to carelessness and subjectivity; arrange forces, materials, and means to overcome incidents, ensure traffic safety on main traffic routes when heavy rain and flooding occur.

Agencies and units focus on leadership, direction, mobilization of forces, means and resources to proactively coordinate with localities to support people in overcoming the consequences of storm No. 10 and floods to quickly stabilize the situation, ensure the safety of people's lives and property and the state, and minimize damage caused by floods.

Heads of agencies and units, based on their functions and tasks, continue to focus on directing the timely implementation of flood response work after storm No. 10 according to the direction of the Prime Minister , the Ministry of Construction and the National Civil Defense Steering Committee. In addition, organize 24/24 hours on duty and promptly report to the Ministry of Construction's Civil Defense Command Committee on any unexpected and arising issues according to regulations.
