Organizing an exhibition of large-scale propaganda paintings to celebrate National Day September 2nd

The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism has just issued a decision on organizing an exhibition of large-scale propaganda paintings to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2025).

The exhibition is expected to display 100 to 150 large-scale propaganda paintings at Ho Chi Minh Square, Nghe An province in August 2025.

The exhibition aims to affirm the stature, historical significance and brilliant milestones of the August Revolution in 1945 and the birth of the Democratic Republic of Vietnam (now the Socialist Republic of Vietnam); the reasons for victory and lessons learned; the creative application of lessons from the August Revolution in the struggle for national liberation and national reunification as well as in the cause of building, developing and defending the Fatherland.

At the same time, it propagates the achievements in building a socialist rule-of-law State of Vietnam of the people, by the people, for the people; highlights the great victories and achievements of the country over the past eight decades, especially after nearly 40 years of implementing the national renewal policy initiated and led by the Party, and highlights the great contributions and contributions of the entire Party, people and army in the struggle for national liberation and reunification as well as in the cause of building, developing and defending the Fatherland.

The exhibition is expected to display 100 to 150 large-scale propaganda paintings at Ho Chi Minh Square, Nghe An province in August 2025.

Through the exhibition, we aim to encourage, motivate, inspire and arouse pride in cadres, party members and people of all walks of life to strive and make efforts to overcome difficulties, successfully complete political goals and tasks, compete to achieve achievements to celebrate major national holidays, and be determined to successfully implement the Resolution of the 13th National Congress towards the 14th National Congress of the Party.

Previously, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism issued Decision No. 1341/QD-BVHTTDL to organize a contest for composing propaganda posters to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2025). The contest is open to all professional and amateur artists, Vietnamese citizens and overseas Vietnamese. The closing ceremony and award ceremony of the contest are expected to be held in August 2025.
