General inspection and handling of violations of inland waterways

The provincial police have just issued a plan to conduct a general inspection and handle violations of the law by operators and inland waterway vehicles in the province.

Accordingly, from November 24 to December 24, 2023, units will simultaneously launch general inspections and handle administrative violations according to the plan.

The subjects of inspection are organizations and individuals doing business using inland waterway vehicles; inland waterway vehicles include ships, boats, sampans and other types of floating vehicles; crew members and operators of inland waterway vehicles.

The general inspection plan focuses on handling violations such as: no registration certificate, no technical safety and environmental protection certificate of the vehicle as prescribed; no certificate of professional competence, professional certificate of vehicle control as prescribed, transporting goods beyond the safe waterline mark, etc.

The inspection work aims to promptly detect limitations and shortcomings in the work of ensuring traffic order and safety, and violations of the law on inland waterways for correction and overcoming. At the same time, it records difficulties and obstacles to propose measures to remove and resolve them.
