According to the People's Committee of Cao Lanh Ward, at around 1:00 a.m. on September 20, in Group 1, Nguyen Huong Street, Tan Tich Hamlet, Cao Lanh Ward, Dong Thap Province, a landslide occurred, about 20 meters deep inland, about 100 meters long, directly affecting 6 households, including 20 people.
The initial cause was determined to be the landslide location along the Tien River bank, which is located in an area of frequent landslides. Currently, the impact of heavy rain combined with high tides during the flood season has led to the landslide.
To ensure the safety of people's lives and property, the People's Committee of Cao Lanh Ward has put up landslide warning signs and mobilized local forces to support 6 affected households in dismantling and moving their belongings to a safe place.

The landslide damaged 6 houses, of which 2 completely collapsed into the river, 2 houses were at high risk of collapsing into the river, estimated damage of over 2 billion VND.
It is forecasted that the above area will continue to suffer landslides during this year's flood season, especially in the coming days when water from upstream flows strongly combined with high tides, water levels continue to rise and landslides are likely to occur when the water recedes.
