The Congress unanimously assessed that in the 2020-2025 term, the Party Committee of Binh Thuy Ward led and directed the implementation of the Party Committee Resolution, achieving many positive results. In particular, the Party Committee admitted 147 Party members (achieving 117.1% of the target); the economy developed in the direction of diversifying occupations and business types; annual budget revenue increased by 12%; the ward maintained the criteria of urban civilization... In addition to the achieved results, the Congress also frankly acknowledged the limitations and shortcomings such as the low quality of life in some Party cells; some Party members who violated the law were disciplined; the development of some industries and fields was slow; some targets were not implemented sustainably; theft still occurred.
The Congress determined the goals and tasks for the 2025-2030 term to build and develop Binh Thuy ward by 2030 to basically become a civilized and modern urban area of Can Tho city. Investing in synchronous and high-quality socio-economic infrastructure, traffic infrastructure, and urban infrastructure to meet development requirements. Promoting economic restructuring towards trade, services, tourism - small-scale industry - urban agriculture, in sync with cultural development, improving the material and spiritual life of the people. At the congress, the Organizing Committee of the Can Tho City Party Committee announced the decision of the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee to appoint personnel to participate in the Party Executive Committee, the Party Standing Committee, Secretary and Deputy Secretary of the Binh Thuy Ward Party Committee for the 2025-2030 term. Accordingly, the Ward Party Executive Committee has 33 comrades; the Ward Party Standing Committee has 11 comrades; Comrade Phan Thi Nguyet holds the position of Ward Party Secretary; Comrade Vo Hoai Phong and Comrade Le Phuoc Loi hold the positions of Deputy Ward Party Secretaries.
Speaking at the congress, Secretary of the Can Tho City Party Committee Do Thanh Binh acknowledged and highly appreciated the achievements of the Party Committee, government and people of Binh Thuy ward in the 2020-2025 term. At the same time, he directed that in the 2025-2030 term, the Binh Thuy Ward Party Committee will continue to improve the leadership capacity and fighting strength of the Party organization, building a clean and strong Party organization in terms of politics, ideology, organization and ethics. Focus on innovating leadership methods, improving the quality of cadres and party members, especially leaders. Promote training and fostering a team of young cadres with sufficient capacity, especially improving the capacity of cadres in the digital age - an urgent requirement in the current period. In addition, effectively resolve pressing issues among the people, especially issues of land, environment, security and order. Continue to preserve, consolidate and foster solidarity and unity within the Party and the entire political system, consensus among all classes of people, promote democracy to effectively implement the set goals...
According to the direction of the Can Tho City Party Committee and the registration of the Party Committees, by August 11, 2025, all 103 Party Committees of communes and wards under the Can Tho City Party Committee will complete the congresses for the 2025-2030 term; by August 15, 2025, the City Military Party Committee, the City Police Party Committee, the City Party Committees of Party Agencies, the City People's Committee Party Committee, the Can Tho University Party Committee; and the Can Tho University of Medicine and Pharmacy Party Committee under the City Party Committee will complete their congresses.
