The mark of records

The National Achievements Exhibition with the theme “80 Years of Journey of Independence - Freedom - Happiness” is a prominent event in Hanoi on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day September 2 this year. For the first time, an exhibition of national scale not only has a huge number of booths but also brings many unprecedented experiences, attracting a record number of visitors.

According to the Organizing Committee, as of today (September 15), there have been more than 10 million visitors - an unprecedented number in the history of exhibitions in Vietnam. During the 19 days of the exhibition, almost every day the exhibition welcomed a large number of visitors, an average of 1 million visitors per day, up to 1.3 million visitors on weekends. At times, the number of visitors was so large that it caused local congestion.

Another impressive record is the opening of the Vietnam Exhibition Center, which is ranked among the top 10 largest exhibition center complexes in the world and the largest in Southeast Asia. This is also a project that was built at lightning speed in just 10 months, becoming a new symbol, bringing the expectation for Vietnam to become a major event center in the region.

Along with the scale and stature of the project, the National Achievement Exhibition was organized the largest ever, with the participation of 28 ministries, central agencies, 34 localities and more than 110 large enterprises and economic groups with over 230 booths.

The organizers said that the exhibition introduces the achievements of nearly 180 professions in all fields, with many documents, artifacts, documentaries, reports... vividly and comprehensively reflecting the outstanding achievements during the 80-year journey of Independence - Freedom - Happiness of the nation under the leadership of the Party.

The exhibition brings together thousands of artifacts, images, models and modern technology applications, depicting Vietnam's achievements in the fields of: Politics, economics, culture, society, science - technology, national defense - security, foreign affairs...

In a space of tens of thousands of square meters, visitors have the opportunity to go through a vivid "journey of time": From the imprints of building and defending the country, the wars for independence, to the achievements of innovation, international integration and the aspiration for prosperous and happy development.

Many exhibition spaces have set new records. Typically, the thematic space “95 years of the Party Flag lighting the way” is over 10,000 square meters wide, applying breakthrough technologies such as augmented reality (AR), semi-realistic stage, and multi-sensory interactive space. Instead of static exhibitions, the Organizing Committee built an experiential journey inspired by the spiral structure of Co Loa Citadel, leading viewers through 8 interconnected zones.

Or the giant LED ball also makes a strong impression, becoming the center of attraction. This is the first technological project to appear in Vietnam, symbolizing the origin and aspiration to reach the future. The entire surface is covered with modern LED, displaying images, videos and continuously changing lighting effects.

The Deputy Prime Minister emphasized that the exhibition clearly demonstrated professionalism, modernity while still imbued with tradition, with rich, vivid and attractive content.

One-of-a-kind experiences

The National Achievements Exhibition is not only a major event but also a meeting place for generations. People can recall heroic memories and witness the achievements of innovation, demonstrating the strong aspiration of the nation to rise up.

The exhibition areas of socio-economic achievements attract the attention of not only veterans but also young people. The elderly find memories and gratitude; the young generation finds inspiration and aspirations.

The areas displaying military equipment, shooting, model airplanes, robots, etc. also attract a large number of visitors.

Ms. Ngo Kim Thuy (Dai Mo ward) shared: “I am very impressed with the scale, stature and rich content of the exhibition. I have come twice with family and friends but still have not experienced it all. I especially like the exhibition space of 12 cultural industries with many art activities, free film screenings, virtual reality technology experiences, 360 photography. I hope there will be more exhibitions of this magnitude.”

Environmental sanitation is maintained regularly, so even though it is sometimes overloaded, the experience spaces still basically meet the needs of all classes of people.

The organizers also arranged 20 bus routes passing through the exhibition area, 2 free internal tram routes, an information counter system, and digital maps to guide visitors.

According to Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Ta Quang Dong, Deputy Head of the Organizing Committee, up to this point, the exhibition has proven its strong appeal, with the attention of a large number of people and tourists. That success is the result of careful, professional, modern preparation, with attractive, rich and lively content and form.
