Bình nước đặc biệt này là nơi lý tưởng được các tài xế dừng chân châm đầy bình nước để bớt một khoản chi tiêu

This special water tank is the ideal place for drivers to stop and fill up their water tanks to save money.

According to the parish priest (who asked not to be named), this ice water bottle has been there for over a year. The parish priest was always worried that placing the styrofoam box would melt the ice. Therefore, he decided to make a miniature Tet decoration, partly to make the water bottle more beautiful, and mainly to keep the bottle cold longer.

After Tet, the simple ice water jug was decorated to look more eye-catching by placing it under a small, simple roof made of squash vines. The priest also prepared two jugs. One jug was made of filtered water, filtered by a machine inside the church, so that anyone with a sore throat who could not drink cold water could drink there. The other jug was made of iced tea, selected from good tea brewed by parishioners. Thanks to the flower arrangement above, the jug was less likely to melt than before.

The church prepares cold and non-cold water for people to choose from.

Next to it were two bins of clean and used cups. He said that in the past, the church used disposable plastic cups. However, this time they were replaced with reusable cups to protect the environment.

Usually, the church prepares 30-40 glasses. There were a few times when he counted and saw that the glasses were low, but he still told everyone to be happy. "Never mind, they probably don't have enough glasses. I often tell people to leave extra glasses when making water, so there are always enough glasses for everyone," the priest said.

Every morning, the preparer brings out a new bucket of water, carefully brews tea, and prepares cups and glasses for tech-based drivers, lottery ticket sellers, motorbike taxi drivers, students... to stop and get when thirsty. Every evening, they bring them back to the church to thoroughly wash the bottles and glasses so they can continue to welcome new guests the next day.

Inside, the water filter is working at full capacity to be ready to supply water whenever needed. The church has just invested in this water filter to filter water to a better, more refined, and cleaner standard for everyone to use.

Mr. Bui Duc Vu (34 years old, living in Thu Duc City, Ho Chi Minh City) said that every day when he drives a ride-hailing app through here, he stops here to get some water. He praised the tea here for being delicious. Having a water bottle helps him save money on buying water along the way.

Meanwhile, Mr. Nguyen Hoang Ha Nam (25 years old, District 6, Ho Chi Minh City) just filled his bottle of cool water and praised this idea as very cute. "This bottle has been there for a long time, but it has just been decorated. Thanks to that, the bottle looks cooler and more eye-catching. You see, many people have come here to drink water. The generosity of Saigon people is wonderful," he said.

Talking to Tuoi Tre Online , the parish priest said that making this water bottle would be hard if done by one person, but if many people join forces, it will not be tiring. He hopes that the love will spread.

"Seeing many people enjoying their drinks and having a place to shelter from the sun, not only me but many others also feel very warm and want to do more for the community," he shared.

After the squash trellis bore fruit, he also came up with the idea of planting a beautiful bougainvillea trellis with the parishioners, so that the above-mentioned charity water vase would be colorful in the hot and humid weather of Ho Chi Minh City in the near future.
