Folklore ghosts on the big screen

Director Truong Dung's Haunted House is introduced as a film with strong spiritual colors, combined with elements of love and humor.

The film revolves around the story of Mrs. Hien, a woman who raised 3 children alone after her husband died in an accident. It all started when the middle son, while fishing, found a sealed earthenware jar. From then on, strange phenomena continuously occurred in the family.

The film's title is a suggestion of unsolved horror stories and hidden secrets.

The teaser poster evokes a dark, creepy and dramatic atmosphere with dark, cold colors that are both typical of Vietnamese folk horror and highly metaphorical, stimulating the audience's imagination.

The central character of the teaser poster is the image of a young man (played by Quang Tuan) with blood-stained clothes, his face showing both panic and fear and tension.

Notably, in his hand this character is holding an old earthenware jar, also stained with blood. Most likely, this object is the source of all the tragedies in the film.

Taking on the main role in the film is Quang Tuan - who has continuously made his mark through recent film projects, especially in the horror genre: Bong De, Quy Cau, Quy Nhap Trang ...

The film also marks the return of director Truong Dung - who has been loved by audiences through many films on both the small and big screens: Long River, The Fateful Necklace, Fish on the Shore, Stream of Memories, A Time We Chased Shadows, Storms of Life , White-necked Bear , Getting a Wife in Saigon ...

In particular, Truong Dung's name is also associated with Mother and Child Bean Curd - a 100-minute video film first released on Tet holiday in 1998, then broadcast many times on television.

Besides Quang Tuan, The Ghost House also brings together many familiar faces such as: Artists Thanh Hang, Van Trang, Huynh Dong, Hoang Kim Ngoc, Lan Thy, Lam Thanh Nha, Vuong Khang...

The movie is scheduled to premiere on October 24.
