The unit has thoroughly grasped the orders and directives from above; organized the review and consolidation of fortifications, battlefields, warehouse systems, and barracks; deployed forces and means to reinforce houses and barracks, ensuring the safety of weapons and equipment.

The Brigade carefully prepares forces and mobile vehicles, ready to participate in evacuating and relocating people in dangerous areas, especially on islands and coastal areas when ordered.

After listening to reports and inspecting a number of key locations in the barracks, warehouse systems, force assembly areas and storm response equipment, Major General Luong Van Kiem highly appreciated the proactive, urgent and responsible spirit of officers and soldiers of Brigade 242 in implementing storm prevention and control measures, especially focusing on ensuring the safety of troops, weapons and equipment and maintaining combat readiness.

The Commander of Military Region 3 requested the Party Committee and command of Brigade 242 to continue to thoroughly grasp the "4 on-the-spot" motto in natural disaster prevention and control; strictly maintain combat readiness and storm prevention; regularly and closely monitor forecasts and warnings to promptly adjust and supplement response plans to closely match the actual situation.

Officers and soldiers of Brigade 242 are ready with forces and mobile vehicles to carry out storm prevention and control tasks.

The Brigade needs to closely coordinate with the Party Committee, government, armed forces and local departments, branches and organizations, especially the forces of the Defense Command of Region 3 - Van Don Special Zone ( Quang Ninh Provincial Military Command) and the police, border guards, militia and self-defense forces in responding to the storm, effectively deploying plans to evacuate people in areas at high risk of landslides and flooding; ensuring logistics, military medicine, necessary rescue equipment, and being ready to support people as soon as the storm makes landfall.
