Macedos Pirotecnia - First time "on the field" but not young at all
Participating for the first time at DIFF, the Macedos Pirotecnia team from Portugal is no stranger to the international fireworks world. With nearly a century of experience passed down through three generations, this team is one of the oldest and most prestigious fireworks icons in Europe.
In their nearly century-long journey of participating in prestigious festivals, Macedos Pirotecnia has made a name for themselves with a series of important awards. The team won Second Prize at two major fireworks festivals in 2024: Philippines Competition Grand Champions and Celebration of Light in Canada. Before that, they won Third Prize in Quebec (Canada, 2023), First Prize in Monaco (2018), Saint Brevin (France) and Kaliningrad (Russia) in 2017. In 2016, Macedos continued to shine in the Czech Republic with the championship title and entered the Top of the most potential fireworks teams in Europe.
With a Mediterranean style, Macedos Pirotecnia's performance at DIFF 2025, titled "The Light Concert for a Green Future", will harmoniously combine modern pyrotechnic techniques with traditional craftsmanship. Typical effects such as waterfalls of light, comets, volcanic cannons, etc. will contribute to creating a lively, emotional scene with a profound message about sustainable development and human responsibility in preserving the green planet.
The representative of the Macedos Pirotecnia team confidently shared: "The most outstanding feature of our performances is the "dynamic" nature, with continuous fireworks effects, creating eye-catching scenes and ending with an impressive climax. Each performance usually ends with a spectacular scene with titanium lightning bolts lighting up the sky. The entire performance is shaped by the rhythm of the fireworks, as if "erupting" colorful rains of light, covering the sky in brilliant and vivid effects."
This is their first time at DIFF, but with their strength and courage proven through many international competitions, the Portuguese team is expected to be a "veteran rookie" that will make opponents wary.

Returning after a year of absence, Pyrotex Fireworx, the leading pyrotechnics team from the UK, will bring to DIFF 2025 a performance called "Wave of Emotions", a symphony of light that touches every emotional level.
Possessing an impressive list of achievements: First Prize in Quebec (Canada, 2022), Vilnius (Lithuania, 2021), Szczecin (Poland, 2018), three consecutive championships at the Philippines International Fireworks Competition (2016 - 2018), especially the spectacular hat-trick of winning the Championship at three major fireworks festivals in Mexico, Canada and France in 2024..., Pyrotex Fireworx is always a beloved name at any event they participate in.
With the theme "Sustainable Development", the team chose to tell stories using light and sound to awaken the awareness of environmental protection from within each person. "Our performance will bring many emotions. We want to make the audience laugh and cry at the same time. This year, the team has surpassed the limit, with an extremely complex design, applying custom-made fireworks effects. Hopefully, it will create a different mark compared to the other teams" - shared a representative of Pyrotex Fireworx team.

"Emotional Waves" will be an elaborate performance with nearly 8,000 individually programmed fireworks, carrying the hope of connecting people - nature - community through rays of light piercing the night.
Not only a fireworks party, the fourth competition night of DIFF 2025 is also a space for artistic sublimation with a subtle combination of light, music and stage performances. From outstanding singers such as Dong Hung, To My, Lam Bao Ngoc to eye-catching performances by leading dance troupes, all are ready to bring the audience a complete artistic experience - where messages for the green planet are conveyed through emotions, techniques and the quintessence of global performing arts.
