"This role is completely different from my real life situation. I don't live with my husband's family. My father-in-law is a thoughtful person, loves his children and gives his daughter-in-law all the best things," Tu Vi shared with Tuoi Tre Online .
Tu Vi's challenging role
Tu Vi said when reading the script for Dau Hao Mon , she was attracted by the role which contained many challenges.
Tu Vi's Linh agreed to marry into a wealthy family to save her biological parents who were in dire straits. Her husband's family always saw her as a "reproductive tool", often imposing strange superstitions and customs on her.
She always had to deal with the plots and scheming of her husband's family for power.

To play the role of Linh, the daughter-in-law of ancient times, Tu Vi learned about ancient culture, customs and traditions.
"Linh is different from me in personality, thinking, and the way love comes into her life is also different. If there is any similarity, it is probably just a little bit of being pregnant and loving her child," Tu Vi shared.
Ask Tu Vi if she feels her standards are lowered when participating in short films (5 minutes/episode) and only shown online?
Vi said: "The distribution platform is not a measure of the value of a work or the position of an actor.
I always appreciate every opportunity given to me to explore myself in new roles, to challenge myself in new directions of the entertainment industry. Films, no matter what format, must be done well to bring the audience what they want."
The vertical film video revolution
The movie is made in a 9:16 vertical frame format. According to the producer, this format is creating a new "video revolution" in the entertainment experience of today's audiences.
The film exploits the drama in situations where the characters are always in a state of dealing with each other.

Superstitions and customs are somewhat bizarre and exaggerated, imposed on weak characters. From there, the unrealistic element of the bride's situation is the key to attracting the current tastes of the audience.
Tu Vi said this was the first time she participated in this type of film.
"Recently I've been watching quite a few movies made in 9:16 format. Although short in length, it's not simple at all.
Each frame must be precious to convey a large amount of content in a short time, the plot must be dramatic and interesting.
This is also the first time I get to play the role of a rich daughter-in-law, so I want to try it."
The series "The Rich Daughter-in-law" is 30 episodes long, broadcast one episode per day on Facebook and some social networks.
Besides Tu Vi, the film also has the participation of actors Ngan Quynh, Trung Huy, Ma Trung, Steven Nguyen, Hien Nguyen, Van Minh Truc.
