Tuan Hung defeated Bang Kieu and the "harsh" score race

“Brother Overcoming Thousands of Challenges” is a reunion of many generations of artists. Among them, Tuan Hung and Bang Kieu used to work in the same band, Watermelon.

Many years ago, the two of them used to "dominate" together with the band Watermelon with the other two members, Tu Dua and musician Tuong Van.

At that time, around the late 1990s and early 2000s, Watermelon, led by "big brother" Bang Kieu, made waves with many hits such as Rain, Late Summer, Gentle Sun... The group also "covered" (re-sung) world- famous songs of that time such as Get down (Back Street Boys).

Bang Kieu was the most prominent member of the Watermelon Band during their glory days. Many of their songs were among the most listened to on music charts such as Lan Song Xanh. Bang Kieu left the band the earliest and led to the group's eventual disbandment.

On the stage of Anh trai vu ngan cong gai, Bang Kieu sang the group’s one-time hit song – Summer Late. His tenor voice with its wide, emotional range reminded the audience of the 8X generation of youth.

However, Tuan Hung - the remaining member of Watermelon with his appearance still maintained his form and stage presence, overwhelmingly won against Bang Kieu. The "big brother" of the band at that time was even behind People's Artist Tu Long in terms of score.

After 2 episodes, the scoring method of 350 audiences at the studio has caused endless controversy, but this scoring method is contributing to the attraction of Anh trai van ngan cong thorn.

In Thanh Duy, it was the crazy performance ability with "Tinh anh ban chieu", in Tien Dat, it was the return of a veteran, classy rapper to dominate the stage...

“Anh trai qua ngan cong gai” also records the reunion of members of music groups who once “worked together” to create each other’s brands, such as Bang Kieu – Tuan Hung (group Qua Dua Hau), Jun Pham – ST Son Thach (group 365)...

Veteran artists, who once dominated the music scene, when joining the game, that means they accepted the rules of the game, accepted being judged, and accepted being eliminated early.

After 2 episodes of Brother Overcoming a Thousand Challenges, no matter what score, everyone expressed happiness.

Audiences argue when they see the injustice, even seeing through the producers' "intentional" way of setting up the rules to attract ratings... But, for artists, perhaps they come to this playground to play together a truly sublime and emotional musical game.
