With youthful energy, enthusiasm and a desire to contribute, the youth of the Homeland have affirmed the position and strong role of the Youth Union, becoming a strong arm and a reliable reserve force of the Party. With a pioneering, proactive and creative spirit, the youth of the Homeland have joined hands with the entire political system and the people to build an increasingly developed homeland.

Proud to contribute

Hoang Thi Huong Thao, a Muong ethnic youth union member in Luong Son commune, Yen Lap district, is one of 39 outstanding individuals who have continuously studied to master their lives and contribute to the community and society. She received the first "Learning Never Ends" scholarship from the Provincial Education Promotion Fund. This is not only an honor and pride, but also a motivation for Huong Thao to continue to strive and try harder.

Starting from a small tailor shop, Ms. Thao has always been constantly learning to become rich. With the spirit of daring to think, daring to do and good skills honed over many years, Ms. Thao opened her own sewing workshop in 2016, with 2 facilities in Luong Son commune and Xuan An commune, Yen Lap district. Products from Ms. Thao's sewing workshop have good quality, beautiful designs, many customers place orders, deducting all expenses for an income of about 250 million VND/year, creating jobs for 30 workers in the area.

Comrade Vu Dinh Ngoc - Secretary of Yen Lap District Youth Union commented: Ms. Hoang Thi Huong Thao's garment factory has contributed to economic development and created jobs for many local workers. Ms. Thao's efforts, struggles and achievements are an example of the determination and will of youth.

Established in 2017, the UDV-19 Student Volunteer Club of Viet Tri University of Industry, formerly the Student Volunteer Club under the Youth Union of Viet Tri University of Industry, initially had 19 members. After 7 years of operation and expansion, the Club now has 50 official members and 30 collaborators. With the motto "Volunteering is a voluntary action, self-conscious participation; using one's time, energy, skills, and knowledge to contribute to the community", the Club has become a place for young people to exchange experiences and practice life skills, while organizing many meaningful volunteer activities, creating conditions for the young generation to contribute and gradually grow up.

In 2024, the Club organized many volunteer activities for the community, notably: "Green Summer - Loving Sunshine 2024" volunteer campaign in Doc area, Kiet Son commune, Tan Son district; "Supporting exam season" campaign at Viet Tri Technical High School; "Loving Spring - Happy Tet" program in Cao Xa commune, Lam Thao district... the total value of mobilized resources was over 40 million VND. At the campaigns and programs, the Club gave nearly 50 gifts to children in difficult circumstances, poor households... Organized cultural exchange programs, summer activities; taught English, and propagated prevention of school violence for youth and children. Presenting the project "Bookshelf for children" to Kiet Son Primary School, Tan Son district... UDV-19 Student Volunteer Club was honored to be one of 200 clubs, teams, and groups honored in the National Volunteer Day program in 2024, Winter Volunteer Program in 2024, Spring Volunteer Program in 2025 and the Ceremony to honor outstanding volunteer clubs, teams, and groups with outstanding contributions and achievements in volunteer work for the community, contributing to the cause of building and defending the Fatherland organized by the Central Youth Union and the Central Vietnam Youth Union.

New age youth

Implementing the Campaign "Building model values ​​of Vietnamese youth in the new period" launched by the Central Youth Union, the Youth Union chapters at all levels in the province have actively deployed and implemented, bringing about many positive results and spreading widely among the Youth Union members.

The Provincial Youth Union has promoted propaganda and education on ethics and cultural lifestyle for young people, aiming to build a generation of young people with revolutionary ideals, steadfastness, ambition and aspiration to rise up; living beautifully, living usefully, living responsibly for themselves, their families and society, which has been paid attention to by all levels of the Youth Union, implemented in many new, diverse and effective forms through political activities with the theme "Aspiration to contribute - Youth's way of life" in the form of seminars, forums, exchanges; organized the program "Lighting up the dream of rehabilitation" in 2024 for female prisoners at Tan Lap prison. Maintained the activities of 19 "Young Theory" Clubs, promptly provided information and oriented public opinion among young people.

Accordingly, the Youth Union members have actively participated in activities for community life, leaving their mark in volunteer activities in all aspects of social life, creating a colorful picture of youth strength on the path of building the homeland and the country. Closing the year 2024 with the theme "Year of Youth Volunteers", the youth of the Homeland have carried out 17 provincial-level youth projects and tasks; 67 district-level youth projects and tasks; 788 grassroots-level youth projects and tasks. Planted 250,980 new trees of all kinds...

Social security activities for community life are regularly and continuously deployed, targeting disadvantaged areas, policy families, meritorious people, poor households, the elderly... The whole province organized 27 medical examination and treatment sessions, providing free medicine to over 6,000 people with a total value of nearly 800 million VND; presented over 13,000 gifts including: warm blankets, clothes, necessities, teaching and learning equipment... worth over 5 billion VND; participated in voluntary blood donation activities, collecting over 4,000 units of blood... Over 10,000 youth union members took part in the campaign to help people in areas affected by storm No. 3 clean up and repair houses; collect waste, clean the environment, harvest crops...

Accompanying the youth, the Youth Union at all levels has effectively organized emulation movements, support activities, and encouraged students to compete in studying, build a spirit of self-study; actively implemented the movements "5 Good Students", "3-Practice Students", "3 Good Students", maintained and developed clubs, groups, teams, and study groups at Youth Union branches and associations. In the 2023-2024 school year, there were 548 5-Good students at the school level, 25 at the provincial level; 220 3-Practice students at the school level, 1 at the provincial level; 2,216 3-Good students at the school level, 26 at the provincial level; maintained and effectively operated 65 academic clubs, teams, and groups among students with 870 members.

With youthfulness, dynamism, enthusiasm and creativity, the youth of the Land of Ancestors will continue to promote their bravery and intelligence, join hands for community life, build new rural areas, build civilized urban areas; actively participate in building an increasingly strong Party and government, worthy of being a reliable reserve force of the Party.
