Vietnam national team player unexpectedly honored

After the end of the first round of the group stage of the 2024/2025 Southeast Asian Cup C1 (ASEAN Shopee Cup 2024/2025 Club Football Tournament), the Organizing Committee selected the 4 best goals and Vietnamese clubs had 2 representatives.

Luiz Antonio's long-range goal in the 87th minute of Thanh Hoa's 3-1 win over Shan United brought home all three points for the Thanh Hoa team. Meanwhile, Phan Van Duc's goal in the 3rd minute helped CAHN Club defeat Thailand's strong representative Buriram United 2-1 in their first international match.

The other two goals were awarded to Gabriel Silva (Svay Rieng) in the match where the Cambodian club defeated Terengganu FC 3-2 in Malaysia and Leo Gaucho (Borneo) scored a lob in the match against Lion City Sailors.

An impressive performance in the match where CAHN Club beat Buriram United 2-1 helped Phan Van Duc be called back to the Vietnam national team to prepare for the FIFA Days matches in September.
