Quang Yen Town: Determined to reach the finish line early in budget collection

In the first quarter of 2025, Quang Yen Town has made a remarkable mark in budget collection, with many targets exceeding the schedule, and many localities achieving impressive results. This result is a testament to the drastic, flexible and effective direction of the local government and the consensus of the people and businesses in the area.

According to the report of the town's financial agency, the total state budget revenue in Quang Yen in the first quarter is estimated at 419,662 billion VND, equal to 35% of the provincial estimate and the town's People's Council estimate, up 31.6% over the same period. Of which, revenue from taxes, fees and other items is 388,485 billion VND (accounting for 40.3% of the estimate, up 43.9% over the same period); land use fee revenue is 31,177 billion VND (accounting for 13.2% of the estimate, down 36.1% over the same period).

This is a positive result, especially in the context of the difficult production and business situation of some enterprises, and civil construction activities are not really vibrant.

According to Ms. Nguyen Thi Dieu Thuy, Deputy Head of the Finance - Planning Department of Quang Yen, the town has implemented a series of synchronous solutions, combining strict management of revenue sources and creating favorable conditions for people and businesses to fulfill financial obligations. The town has built a revenue scenario close to the actual situation, assigned specific tasks to each commune and ward; at the same time, been proactive and flexible in directing and operating. Coordination between the tax and finance sectors and the People's Committees of communes and wards has been strengthened, helping to promptly review revenue sources, focusing on large revenues such as personal income tax, land use fees, registration fees, etc.

Besides, Quang Yen also focuses on recovering tax arrears, enhancing solutions to support taxpayers, creating favorable conditions for businesses and people to fully fulfill their financial obligations to the State.

Many households in Tan An ward converted land use rights from perennial crop land to construction land.

One of the typical bright spots in the first quarter is Tan An ward, which has made great progress in budget collection. By the end of March 2025, the total budget revenue of the ward reached nearly 3 billion VND, of which: Land use fee collection reached over 1.7 billion VND, reaching 58.3% of the yearly plan; Tax and fee collection reached nearly 1.2 billion VND, reaching 51.7% of the yearly plan.

Mr. Doan Quang Tuyen, Chairman of Tan An Ward People's Committee, shared: "From the beginning of the year, the ward has proactively built budget collection scenarios for each month and each quarter, assigning specific targets to each department. At the same time, we have stepped up propaganda to the people about new policies in converting the purpose of destination land use. Thanks to that, the number of households participating in the conversion increased, leading to a significant increase in revenue. We also tightened the management of private construction and focused on effectively collecting non -agricultural taxes. With the current progress, Tan An ward strives to complete the annual budget collection plan in the first 6 months of the year."

Moving into the following quarters, Quang Yen Town will continue to maintain the effective solutions that have been implemented, while proactively updating the actual situation to adjust the collection scenario flexibly, closely following the implementation progress of the whole year. In particular, it will focus on: Fully exploiting revenue sources, especially land use fees, revenue from business households and services; urging debt collection, checking against revenue loss, especially in the private construction sector; promoting the role of localities in collection work, building plans close to the potential of each locality; creating favorable conditions for people and businesses to access tax policies, ensuring fairness, transparency and compliance with regulations.

With close, drastic and synchronous management from the town level to the grassroots level, and consensus from the people, Quang Yen is gradually affirming its determination to complete and exceed the state budget revenue target in 2025, creating a solid foundation for sustainable socio -economic development.
